Why does syncthing relay crash my 1gb vm...
Sigh 😕
Someone sync too many sisters?
Doesn't take more than 10 mins and poof
U remind me to finish my job of Beszel Agent-ing my idlers
This is utterly preposterous! An eight-euro one-time fee for the registry lock, and should I need to update the DNS record and reactivate the registry lock, I must pay yet another eight euros!
The "one time fee" turned out to be an "every time fee"
Indeed, 8.68 euros is practically the same as my renewal fee, though I'm not sure whether that's a registry charge or a registrar charge—still rather frustrating
I'll reach out to other registrars and see what they offer
💙
It's a one time fee per action. So true to the word
recurring one time fee
Still
One-time fee
I've sent an inquries to 6 registrars today, only 1 say it possibel and they're asking for fees
This is killing, 8.69 is definitely remote hand free for them to config it in registry or smth ☹️ or maybe there's a fee on registry side that i didn't know
who is it registered with?
Zone.ee
Ta. Odd one. Try as I might I can’t find any mention of the charge
Welp, maybe my request are too odd they have to handle it case by case
Remind me to never use namesilo

f-that
edit: Looks like registrar and registry lock are two thing. Still, f-that
edit2: maybe explains the zone.ee thing but? That you’re probably after a registrar lock, but they mention registry lock in their message, which namesilo also charge (a lot) for
anyone still waiting for their i5-8500T other than me? 3+ weeks now.
What is the new zeal with registry locks
No one corrected me yet, so that means my suggested setup should be good right?
Your current setup works for now because DNS is cached or you have a fallback DNS for Unbound. If it's the former, it will break, if it's the latter, it won't.
If it won't, it will just work until either ADH or Unbound is down, or Unbound starts after ADH.
Yep.
Is the packet loss on the $7/yr boxes part of the deal or is there a genuine issue that nobody else reported?
edit: I hesitate to ticket cuz I've already bothered this poor guy twice and I feel guilty.
Unbound has no forward zone if you referring to that. My intention is to change this, hence why I asked here. I'm just not sure what do you mean by this:
Proxmox node will have 9.9.9.9 as DNS, but I'm not sure should Unbound and ADH LXC inherit the same or to put something else. Downside is obviously it won't go over ADH.
Use Quad9 for Proxmox; root DNS for Unbound, or let Proxmox host be Unbound's DNS resolver; ADH inherits Unbound's DNS.
You mean something from these IPs? https://www.iana.org/domains/root/servers
I'm not sure did I understand you, you are saying to put Unbound's IP in
/etc/resolv.confof ADH LXC? Unbound's IP is already set in ADH settings > DNS settings > Upstream DNS servers. This is correct. Don't put it in
resolv.conf.In ADH's
resolv.confthere's already 9.9.9.9 because it inherits from host, hence why I'm not sure should I just switch it to Unbound's IP then.
