    @suut said: I was looking for a database for vercel and this is awesome! I hope you can make some optimizations to vercel.

    In what way?

    Francisco

    I don't know the backend IP of vercel, so 0.0.0.0./0 is useful. Or you can maintain a dedicated IP whitelist.

    I went ahead and allowed %. I added a note and also a badge to the row saying dangerous.

    Hostname already exists.

    Now it works for Vercel! Thank you!
    Looking forward to PostgreSQL, it is a popular trend. Many projects in Vercel need it.

    edited March 2025

    Hope the ID contains in Domain could match the number in Server Name like:
    CRANEBASE-2201x
    lv-mysql2201x.offloadsql.com
    Or create a alias, it's easy to remember and search and replace.

    And let the Domain info shows on [Manage Product] page too, with [click to copy] feature.
    Now it's under user-> connection info.

    Add a group/tag feature to better organize them, group by IP description maybe.

    Add search and filter to DB NAME, DB USER, IP.

    Add API.

    And a quick add user and database at once.

    Copy as

    /** The name of the database for WordPress */
    define( 'DB_NAME', 'sql2201x_xxx' );

    /** MySQL database username */
    define( 'DB_USER', 'sql2201x_xxx' );

    /** MySQL database password */
    define( 'DB_PASSWORD', 'xxxxxxxxxxx' );

    /** MySQL hostname */
    define( 'DB_HOST', 'lv-mysql22010.offloadsql.com' );

    B)
    How about a one click migrate to DBCrane WordPress plugin? With latency test. Only suggest to be used <10ms
    Let's start with a one click migrate feature in Reseller hosting first.

    Bug report:
    If I create a user with PHPMyAdmin disabled, even if I edit the user to PHPMyAdmin enabled, it still annot log in to the MySQL server via PHPMyAdmin.

    I thought offload sql was already a thing?!

    Not for crane. BuyVM did it but it's not a big need over there. People that need a busy SQL buy a bigger service, a dedicated SQL, etc.

  • Out of Stock

  • @Francisco said: We're aiming around $0.35 - $0.50 per GB of storage, per year. So, 10GB of database storage would be $5.00/year.

    Any egress fees, also Class A/B/C operation fees?

    We used to pay ~$400 yearly on Cloud MySQL for a heavy WooCommerce site for Alibabacloud. If $0.35 - $0.50 per GB of storage, per year is the only thing that gets charged by NameCrane SQL, then we'd pay less than $10 per year. Sounds like too cheap to believe lol.

    But what resources are you getting for that $400/year? If you check Vultr you're getting a 1 core VPS for $90/month ($1080/year). Were you half a core maybe?

    Ideally you're connecting within a Namecrane location so there is no 'egress' cost to us. We aren't blocking it, but we're not going to let someone rip 100's of mbit in outgoing SQL traffic.

    No, we'll have to discuss that when it comes up with the user that triggers it :)

    Can you tell me why I can't connect using navicat, but I can connect using phpMyAdmin?

    Did you allow your IP address? My guess is you're behind CGNAT so your outgoing IP is changing/isn't what you think it is.

    You could put '%' but ONLY IF YOU USE A STRONG PASSWORD.

    PLEASE.

    That's right. Thanks. Good service.

  • Very good service, I am looking for this service.
    I want to confirm how long this free service can be used and when the official service will be available.

  • What are its advantages over webhosting's own database?
    Will it be suspended when there is high cpu or high io?
    Is it possible to buy dedicated cpu, memory and io?
