I don't think Liteserver knows what is causing this. They hope that a network migration sometime in April will resolve the issue, which is a somewhat strange response as it means that for months, half a year or more..., nothing can be done.
Some people had already noticed these regular blips before, but the situation worsened significantly after Black Friday in November 2024.
About the Hetrixtools alert, how do you get these alerts? Via ping test or server agent? I have like 4 VPSes with them using Hetrixtools with Server Agent but I have no issue with such thing.
So I wonder if switching to ping test would make any difference or not.
well, to be exact, My HetrixTools notice multiple blips every months since May 2024. This issue is there for almost years now
it's their network side issue, ping test yeah
I just set up all location for the all of my servers, lets see what will be the results. But I doubt it would be different if so many people are already having this issue.
Shame I was planning to use one of their services for my prod.
from my http ping, there's no downtime even when 1 min blips happens.
So it's network issue yeah, but i don't see this affect much on website side, atleast for me.
but on TCP side, this is an issue for sure. atleast that's what beszel is telling me
Which beszel metric shows that? I am using it for some time but I only have the disk usage, ram usage etc. data
I will use my RIPE Atlas credits to check some pings from all around the world (need to burn those credits) and see if I can find any issue also.
not the main metrics side but rather the daily 1 min SSH session hiccup
Thank @Blembim
I believe the issue exists indeed and @naranjatech is just keeping quiet about it so far.
this is not directly naranja but on their upstream LiteServer
Ah I didn't know they use LiteServer. I have been LiteServer for customer for few years now, never actually had any issues and wasn't aware this issue at all.
Same here; the so-called microdisconnects have been there for a few years already. I had one node of a SQL cluster on one of the VPSes and it was going out of sync quite often (several times a day). So in the end I've not renewed them.
Just to update on this, 2 of my ping tests returned time out errors for various regions, other 2 is fine thou. And show 1 minute of downtime.
Even thou ping test is not healthy way to check for down time. It seems there is an issue indeed.
@naranjatech any comments?
Mine also has troubles with ping multiple times a day

Indeed. It seems that I have to choose another idc
I will also use it until it expires
So do we have any kind of update from either @naranjatech or @LiteServer on this?
The fact that Naranja has been online but not responding here, tells everything one needs to know.
Yeah, actually will cancel all my servers when they expire this year.
Yeah will let my one server expire too. I bought it because it was recommended in the BF Megathread, guess they must've been paid
Sucks, liteserver used to be pretty good.
I've been recommending naranja myself in the past and I did not have any issues for the past couple of years. For me personally, these issues started somewhere around this black friday, can't remember if it was a bit before that or shortly after but considering I am hosting a TCP service, they are definitely annoying to deal with.
Same ! It started before the black friday but I didn't think it would last.
Had good experience with their services in the past
That's definitely on LiteServer's side, as I started to notice it around that time as well. Some people say the issue started way before that, but I think it started happening daily in November 2024.
I opened a ticket, but like said, they can't find a reason or simply don't tell it and hope it will be fixed in April 2025 after the network upgrade.
Well, fingers crossed that fixes it. For now, I'll put them aside.
I'll bump up this thread. It seems like they changed their backbone. I get around 20 ping to Netherlands (normally it was around 30) and mtr takes different route. So I guess they completed their network upgrade and it's perfect now. They are using openpeering.nl now
Can someone else confirm?
Yes, seems solved for me too
Hi, everyone, I just ran the yabs on my VPS bought in Charimis flash sales. The network speed is very slow. The port is 1G. Do you also experience the same issue? Or is this normal for it? Even for Amsterdam, the speed is not good....
Please let me know what your thoughts are or share the YABS result to compare... It will be very helpful for me
I'm on a Milan node and I'm still having the same slow network problem as you. It's unusable since purchase. But my Genoa VPS is working fine. It still has a network issue that should have been fixed according to my HetrixTools report.
