Been using porkbun, recently they started banning some words they do not like for unknown reasons and without any explanation - had to move part of it to namecheap

Banning existing domain names you already have with them or banning attempts to register new domains with certain keywords?

I've tried almost registrars, starting with GoDaddy about 20 years ago. Name.com was a good experience for a few years, but they began to raise prices and stopped offering promos or discounts. I also used Namecheap, Namesilo, and Porkbun, and recently switched to Spaceship, where I've moved all my domains. It has been a pleasant experience with them.

However, the Spaceship GUI is a bit tricky and not as user-friendly as I expected. I managed to use it and am happy with it now, but initially, it was not as easy to navigate. They should also work on making the interface faster.

attempt to register new ones, apparently now they have a "list" that they think can be used for an abuse, which is super weird because domains where nothing significant and namecheap registered them in a whim.

I also like Spaceship, but it is owned by Namecheap. I am afraid of that old "bait and switch" management, after they get some popularity. I suspect this is all just a rebranding due to loss of popularity with old brand (Namecheap).

Inleed seems to offer .fi at 169 SEK (14.97 EUR). At HostingPalvelu it seems to be 18 EUR. Talking about renewal.

    Reseller?

    Yeah, Tucows is oldschool.

Some of my buyers back in 2007 used them through DomainSite (now Name.com).

  • I’m using Porkbun and would recommend it.

Porkbun also has a decent domain management API (https://porkbun.com/api/json/v3/documentation). Can't buy or sell but is decent if you just want to manage existing domains i.e. NameServers, DNS, etc.

I agree on this, some Auto SSL plugin works with porkbun API very well.

You can register anonymous domains instantly via crypto on: https://offshoredomains.com

  • I use Dynadot.

I used to use InternetBS but then they raised their prices.

Never bothered with Porkbun but their prices are only marginally cheaper. I don't use CloudFlare since I don't like keeping all my eggs in one basket.

for offshore domains (dmca ignored) I'm using nicenic.net, the-online.com, as well as for general domains its namecheap, namesilo and godaddy!

had bad experience with nicenic.net, bought 2 domains and they got suspended the next day when I didn't even use them, I didn't understand much about unsuspending them so I left it. All I could do is leave a bad review.

Hello ArrowBoi, sorry to hear about that, could you please PM me the domain names so I can check the history records? I am sure it is not our registrar who suspended your domains. Any reply that we can receive from you will be greatly appreciated.
