Morning
@beanman109 do you perhaps have duck race prem
There's 190 entries.
Well... scratch that I guess it doesn't matter, was thinking more like champion ship style
That's a lot but they don't have to race all at once because of the championship structure
Yeah I realized that a second later DOH'
15 upgrades out of 190 entries, that's about 8% chance, should be fun
what structure did you want to actually go with?
just 2 races (100 / 90) and top 8 / top 7 from the two races win?
That rules out using my ducks. Weβd be there all week.
https://uploads.courtenay.net/u/jR7SKy.mov
or something like this?
2 brackets
100 entrants in the first bracket
90 in the second bracket
run the race 8/7 times for each bracket and the winner each time gets the upgrade?
Take it the plan is to do it based on service numbers, including people that arenβt here?
An alternative would be to get LET members names and thatβd lower the pool of people.
Reduces who is eligible but also means each person would only get it once, as some people would have multiple $7 services.
Or LET people could get one entry per service
I'll leave the details for Zach to decide, I'll just get the list of usernames / numbers or whatever from him and slap it into the race with a stream
I think the content of this site could be used as a reference -> (checked the virmAche one and the hostslick one but both down)
Well I was thinking service IDs so multiple entries per person but not really sure the route I want to go.. though that wouldn't work well tourny style
If we did one entry per person it'd probably drop the total entries to 80~.
Opinions? I did like the LET idea to keep the engagement here and probably weed out some MJJs.
How about asking LET members to give you their service IDs to match against the list and delete the rest
I was thinking about the same but I thought what is some person misses them due to timezone or we can do is take entries in 24 hours π so everyone can DM their ID
@allthemtings

Yeah I think give people a day or two, if we collect names.
Iβm happy with any approach myself. Suggest making it manageable and stress free for those co-ordinating.
Sounds good
Can also do 15 races, divide entrants by 15 and sort them into brackets then winner of each bracket gets the upgrade
Looking forward to the duck races.
Have the race run over 24 hours instead of 2 minutes. An endurance event. Then regardless of Timezone people can get involved.
We'll see on format after we get all the entries?
Lets start collecting now?
Should we dm the ID then?
I don't mind, I think it's best if you collect the entries however then just hand them over to me once ready - saves any confusion and gives you the ability the choose who's eligible
Honestly, let me program a specific page on website to enter.. I really don't want to manually get them hahaha plus I can do some data checking to verify.
If it looks like a duck, swims like a duck, and quacks like a duck, then it probably is a duck race
Duck duck duck duck
If (user == Smigit) then
{
Winner = true
} Else {
winner = false
}
