The responsibility when creating clearly unsustainable deals lies entirely on the provider. Customers with common sense will avoid such deals, but the provider is at fault for refusing to use a calculator.
No need to talk about coercion (lol) trying to make excuses and get some sympathy. Plenty of decent providers are apparently able to avoid such coercion you talk about.
why would you be coerced into providing 7 dollah deals?
conversely, if you feel you should be priced at a certain level, why? what value do you add as a provider?
expensive providers arent immune to deadpooling, just less of it that is seen.
How nice of you, a little bird told you that, hum? Let's now point the guns at me. You're more shady than 99% of the people here.
Thanks jsg, I see MyW at a failed attempt, not like mxroute.io was for example, which was acquired by MailChannels directly. Shit happens, shit hits the fan, that's life. I won't be doing any more hosting stuff (cPanel, DA, you name it), but I'll have ventures on the datacenter world and so on.
@jar has indeed saved MyW, as charity.
mxroute.io was a moderate success that became much more successful in the iteration without you. And it obviously wasn’t sold for much because those funds ran out quick.
Anyway, shouldn’t you be… working? You talk a lot about your kids/dog/aunty/cousins on here like it’s GoFundMe. How about you go get a job instead. Pick up that shovel and break your back, quit crying baby boy.
You don't know what you're talking about.
Indeed! I fully agree.
Okay, if a new provider came here today with zero history and no promotional offers, would you purchase a service at full price?
Well that's what's business is called right? Being successful and surviving in the industry by getting new customers in any profitable way possible, without deadpooling.
Unsustainable offers would not make me purchase either. Quite the opposite actually.
But I understand that's what a majority of providers here do, and what is encouraged by a loud crowd of low value, undesirable customers.
@barbaros @allthemtings @beanman109 @wadhah do you guys have any idea who might be part of this loud crowd of low value wanting cheap deals
Yeah, you pal
I have made a full report on these low value, undesirables and saved it to my 2.98/y vps.
But it's currently down so I can't provide that information.
I fit the cheap deals part but you fit the low value part so in a way together we’re a perfect match
Please do let me know when it’s back up my it s so excite for know

That looks like Swedenya flag.
Did you know I’m going there btw
Really? You never mentioned that before.
Brudda u blind
If "full price" was reasonable and the provider was selling something I want, absolutely.
I might be a bit different but personally I actively avoid providers with no history that shows up with promotional offers that are clearly unsustainable. It's simple math for me: a brand new provider that sells something that he makes zero profit on, sometimes not even covering his own costs, is not going to be around for long. It's impossible, it's just not happening. An established provider with a big enough user base that pays full price might be able to do limited promotions like that from time to time and still absorb the costs, but a brand new one with no previous customers? No.
I'm not trying to blame the users, the responsibility is completely with the provider, but sometimes it's just so obvious where the saying "a fool and his money are soon parted" came from.
For a month btw
the structure of this sentense is certified cute lol
Yes but the meaning is rude and hopefully bannable.
The "direct" translate is rude but for local its like 2 girls kissing shitting each others lol
I don’t trust this
