Try reboot
My box in Frankfurt is up and running (77.90.28.x) but the website is complaining about an SSL issue.
@ProHosting24

Hi please subscribe to our status page
Chris just posted an incident status.ph24.io
404 Not Found
nginx/1.18.0 (Ubuntu)
I am able to open it successfully.
CEPH strikes again...
Suddenly my application did fail-over. At first I thought there was something wrong with the app. I was able to verify that my ha solution works.
You should redirect http to https or add the https prefix to the domain.
it's kind of weird prohosting and prepaid-hosting are having same CEPH issue at same time ... or not ?
They use the same ceph cluster.
lol, and also same DC if I recall , and similar price-spec plan , sometimes I can't stop wondering if they are same team behind
Mine is still down
They are partners.
It remains 2 different entities with different owners and brands. Just two guys helping each other out.
Maybe they're afraid of becoming associate, maybe it's a strategy.
Anyway, it's a good thing. I'm fed up with one man show provider
There are so many providers out there who would do better to join forces and make something really serious
@ProHosting24
my server got suspended.
I've opened a ticket.
can you please take look. this is very urgent.
please help.
Open an emergency ticket with them for a faster reply.
did you do anything not strictly legal or abuse bandwidth? what are you not saying?
yes, there was one dmca report regarding one image.
I didn't know one dmca could result in suspending the whole server without any warning or chance to resolve the issue.
I could delete the offending image, or even deactivate the domain.
is this normal in the lowend scene?
I mean I had dmca report in shared hosting before.
but removing the offending item usually solves it.
never had a site suspended like this before, let alone the whole server.
This is my client's site, I had no way of knowing that there was a copyrighted image.
I understand that it is still my responsibility.
But all the sites on the server are offline because of this one dmca.
It has been more than 12 hours,
I don't see an option for an emergency ticket. or any priority settings.
Usually Germany based providers or providers that use Hetzner resources, do not fuck around with DMCA. They don't tolerate any DMCA warnings.
So if you have any issues that might trigger DMCA, I would suggest you to stay away from Germany location / German providers.
Not saying this on behalf of Prohosting24 of course.
@barbaros don’t think there’s any connection to Hetzner here. They’re mainly in Maincubes I believe
Nah I meant German providers and any provider that use Hetzner. Overall Germany is obsessed with YMCA laws so.
Prohosting has resumed the service.
Thanks to them.
They said they received a flood of DMCA Takedown requests and Mail Spam abuse notices.
All I received was a single mail from cloudflare.
there is a bit story behind this, which I can't tell in public.
basically, a conflict between my client and his former partner.
the DMCA doesn't really hold much value, it has some false claim.
I don't really understand how DMCA takedown notices work.
I mean how many takedown notice do you send for one image?
is this just rage or something? they hired some firm and was determined to take the site down or something?
Chris was so kind to publish my incident report:

Is it only me that my Genoa VPS wasn't taken offline during the 2-hour maintenance the other day as stated in the email? It's been up and running normally. No downtime detected either.
That just means that you had been one of the few customers that were migrated away from the ceph environment, as stated in the incident report
Yes and no for me.
This is what surprised me. I was running background tasks. Lots of items in que. The VPS went offline. But when it did come online, the outputs were there as if the server had no down time and it was running the whole time.
So for me, it did go offline but from functional point of view, it was functioning as if it didn't go offline.
As for me, ssh connection already established was not broken but new connections can't be done and outbound http connections didn't work.
Will you call that lucky?
I'm hosted with Christ and was also put away from CEPH.
