  Okay i was trying to throw a quick yabsy bash script for ffmpeg but I'm not smart enough for that.

  Here's a quick and dirty benchmark. Get ffmpeg for your distro

  then get this (this is legal to download):
  https://download.blender.org/peach/bigbuckbunny_movies/big_buck_bunny_1080p_h264.mov

  Then run

  ffmpeg -i big_buck_bunny_1080p_h264.mov -vcodec libx264 output.mp4

  Then tell us the avg fps you get. This is very basic and other people probably know of better ways

  Is ffmpeg smart enough to detect the iGPU with just -vcodec libx264?

  Actually better question is - does stock Debian 12 even bother installing any iGPU drivers?

  Yeah I have no idea, I remember having to install different packages when I set it up years ago but honestly I forgot. Quick google search talks about vaapi and quicksilver
