    I posted a ticket, got responses pretty quickly, then I see my VPS got rebooted and it has network again. Not sure if I could have just rebooted it myself and it would work.

    Every single support ticket I opened was responded super quickly even one with low priority on a saturday night

    has anyone actually managed to upgrade like they claimed? The upgrade option was a huge selling point, being so flexible and all, and I haven’t had to open a single ticket so far

    I met same problem

    i tried....did some open ticket...and pmed them thru lowndetalk...nothing change...maybe we should ask help from @FAT32 ... i pmed hostsailor here any they said

    So if everyone buys a 1C/1G package and according to the same discount conditions they'd all upgrade it to a 8C/8G package, basically you'd need 8 times the resources. Usually these promo's are offered because of some "overcapacity" or "left-over-servers", so increasing capacity for the promo is not always sustainable.

    They could have simply made it clear that upgrades are not possible.
    Multiple times in this thread @HostSailor confirmed possible to upgrade but then retracted.

    If it was not possible to switch one would have picked a different plan.

    I have never used their services and felt it logical to go for the lower spec first and then upgrade based on what was said.

    I agree that promos with limited availability should not be allowed upgrades at discount, almost everybody does this. I only mentioned about upgrade because the host messed up. It could be a way of fixing that. Let users upgrade to the nearest possible specs. so that a single user is not consuming a big percentage of their node(s).

    Many users picked the lowest plan just because they saw that the upgrades was possible, and didn't want to miss a deal. Otherwise, many would've picked bigger plans. :)

    i'm not gonna lie, if i was able to upgrade I would instantly go to the biggest one. This is one of my best vps'es performance wise and THE best price/performance

    I would assume those "upgrades" are possible if there is space on the node... so people first need to cancel as this was a real selling hit :-D

    I gambled bigger one and it works nicely (for my usage, I don't monitor anything here - except service online :P), so happy for now.
