no one buying the dedi? @FAT32 ?

Run out of impulsive buying quota

    Impressed by @FAT32's new discipline

  • It’s also upgradable to 32GB or 64GB with a one time $20 or $80 cost

is there a program for mac that'll take a screenshot of an area or a window using only shortcuts and won't ask me to edit the photo or anything but just uploads it (without tons of metadata that's not needed) to whereever and automatically copies the direct image link to clipboard?

late on this, but i use sharex for this
i don't think sharex has a MacOS version but there is alternatives quick google came up with CleanShot X

Thanks but seems paid and homepage boasts about having over 50 features and I really don’t want any features if that makes sense :D

Since it's storage do people not care about the CPU or do they still want something like a 9950X + STOR?

    It depends,

Most provider just thrown out intel Xeon scale or E3

What we data hoarder cares is mid cpu and disk speed

    Amen.

Someone buy that last 8500T so I don't have to spend that money. Thx

I don’t know any app that does it directly. Not free but possibly could use Hazel which is used to workflow files. Set up a rule to watch a directory for screenshots then upload it. Unsure if it can then also workflow copying a link for you. Once uploaded the tool should be able to delete the local copy but.

https://www.noodlesoft.com/manual/hazel/attributes-actions/action-reference/specifying-upload-options/#:~:text=Hazel's Upload action lets you,the details for the destination.

Would need to get the screenshots some how. Mac has some stuff built in, Shottr isn’t free but a cheaper alternative than CleanShot X and can be set to save to disk on capture (vs opening the standard editor/markup tool).

Both software are paid but both are one time purchases. Might be too much stuffing about but.

Thanks! Yeah maybe this could work.

I wonder if my ask is that unique? Since it doesn’t seem to be a program doing it natively?

Maybe I’ll have to learn Swift :D

Unsure TBH. There may be an app that’ll do it, but also suspect most you come across will be trying to sell you the cloud storage.

Hazels pretty cool although I admittedly don’t use it for stacks. Do have (or had…need to check) some rules in place to scan any PDF I dropped into my downloads folder and to pass to OCRmyPDF if the file wasn’t saved with embedded text. Also use it to sort videos I download via Downie (YouTube and other media downloaded) into folders based on the original source of the file.

I need to spend more time with it to get my other insurance notices etc auto moved.
