Tim Cook being gay he really does value privacy himself. One thing for Apple is that they actually took a huge hit in their stock price in the initial AI wave when Apple said they're going to do their AI stuff on-device as much as possible. They stuck with it, and now even Google has been forced to do some of their AI stuff on-device.
