    Primary: 1.1.1.1

    Apple is better in terms of privacy because they do almost nothing for free, your personal data is a product but not the main product. Unlike Google & Microsoft.

    They still suck in many other ways, of course.

    One time (and probably only time) Tim Cook got publicly angry was when a shareholder asked him to scrap Apple's environmental and accessibility initiatives and only focus on ROI. Tim Cook told him to get out of Apple stock, as he isn't giving up on environment and accessibility.

    But for sure one doesn't become a 3 trillion dollar company by just being nice. They care a hell of a lot about money too.

    Yeah but good publicity = increased sales = increased stock value

    We’re a small market so not hugely impactful or significant, but FWIW, iOS in Australia has between around 55-60% market share compared to Android.

    I work in state government and a recent conversation suggested that across our BYOD usage the numbers are more like 80% towards iOS.

    Doesn’t reflect global trends, but think it’s interesting none the less. iPhone is very prevalent here.

    one thing they do that's evil is the green blue bubble thing 100 % leading to bullying amongst kids, I'm not defending Apple no matter what, they're evil as well, but not in the personal data space IMO, because they'd make less profit and sell less iPhones if that were the case
