    it's sad to hear that.
to be honestly, I also like to trade with crypto, and my account also registered Dec last year, and get two servers here, not so expensive, just $10-20. they send the server first too, thanks their trust.

surely, we need to be careful about the trading, and avoid being scammed.
the administrator checked the profile, and explain high risk of crypto payment first, it is good.
but I think it's more polite to just clarify it and warn people rather than making fun of it.

as this case already happened, @IIMKIIVG is the victims, he is not so vigilant, not so careful. instead of laughing at his losses, shouldn't we give him some good advice? blame the scammer, and find him out? his registered email? his login ip? is it possible to contact ovh support to get the server back, or get the scammer's profile? anything else may help him to solve the problem?

He was warned prior multiple times and after the fact he just blamed everyone but himself for his own stupid mistake, the laughing at his losses part came after he was unable to take accountability and continued to somehow blame everyone else after he trusted an account that hasnt posted here since 2021 and had like 11 comments total since he made the account in 9 years ago...he deemed this account the MOST trusted himself we only warned about the use of crypto and scams that have happened alot here with new accounts and server transfers

Its a pointless cycle to keep repeating everything, It sucks you got scammed genuinely but its a lesson learnt for @IIMKIIVG for his own stupidity/lack of common sense

Nothing senior about an account that only has 11 comments with its last one being 4 years ago. Only thing that shouts is its a burner account.

According to @allthemtings 1 month old member is scammer so 9 years old members is trusted right? That's how he judges me.

You sure are very selective in your defenses. I warned that you can be scammed by anyone regardless of their account age. You deliberately chose to ignore it.

Sure, mods/ admins will ban the user. But will it give your server back? Any hope of communication with the user will probably end at that time.

Nevertheless, you blindly transacted with the so called "MOST" senior member based solely on their account creation date and that user has a comment rate of 1.375 comments/ year.

(Ok, I know math can be difficult for many)

But a simple cursory check on the last comment from the user was in 2021 sould have been another red flag.

We had our best intentions for you and the community. You chose to ignore our warnings.

So at this point, we all are in agreement that -->

    • Collectively, OP was warned...
    • OP was given the best advice
    • OP chose to act rashly and blindly trust someone based on account age and no engagement since 2021.

    It's sad that this happened...

The only way to prevent this is to stop transfers within the LET realms.

But is it a practical approach?
