No Prize from PulsedMedia

  • their cs is slow, it took 5 days for a server transfer. I guess the team is small.

  • i also won 25€, but i don't know what to do with the few bucks and the expensive offers from pulsed. somehow i won't accept the credit at all or maybe pass it on to someone who wants it...

Ive been waiting for a non pulsedmedia prize since the 2023 poll. A week is just the beginning

He has time to post a shitty memes and talk about woke on discord and too busy to provide basic customer service

To be clear, I was meming a bit here. It wasn't a PulsedMedia prize I won. In the 2023 provide poll giveaway I "won" 100 euro credit from @VPSSLIM which I never received.

I wasn't the only one, it was all the people who won from them. Looks like someone finally got the credit in March of 2024. To be fair, I didn't end up messaging them after 6 months because I didn't/don't care too much, I just think if providers agree to give something away, they should at least make the minimum effort to actually give the prize away, which in that case would have been messaging and giving the prize to the winners. So I guess technically I'm still waiting for the message, lol.

@EthernetServers said: I can't help but wonder if action should be looked at by LET mods/admins for providers who publicly offer rewards, and don't fulfil them in a reasonable amount of time (or, ever, as it would sometimes seem to be the case). It seems to me like free advertising (mention of a provider's name) but with nothing in return.

This for the above. If a provider fails to message people/give the prizes from the previous year, they shouldn't be allowed to join in on the poll the following year.

was the 100 euro credit with or without VAT? ;)

@JabJab said: But hey, don't worry about PulsedMedia - sooner or later he will come, as always - it's not like the hosting I "won" from HostSlim year ago that they never said anything, no instructions, no messages :-D

I've also had a similar experience. I won a €50 credit from VPSSlim (as mentioned here: https://lowendtalk.com/discussion/comment/3554967/#Comment_3554967) but haven't received it. I contacted them, waited for two months just in case they are busy with the sales, still no response. It's frustrating when a provider doesn't follow through, even with a simple giveaway. I agree with the new rule above and they shouldn't be allowed to post offers too. Their history of broken promises makes me worry about their paying customers.

  • steady lads

  • Based on my own experience and on what I hear from others, I can confirm the non-responsiveness of @VPSSLIM in many instances

Happily, this year, they didn't offer any prizes/awards for the poll (as far as I'm aware), because it only makes them look bad if they offer prizes/awards and then don't actually grant the prizes/awards to the winners (as they did a year ago)

In any case, I don't have much faith in their willingness to improve in these respects

  • I won on a giveaway and instructed to send email address through DM, but only got silent treatment from certain provider here. I'm not trying to be entitled and just moved on.

Allowing providers to get away with this will only encourage further similar actions

This should be a hall of shame list because many occurrences happen, not giving the price that offered is not cool.

  • I must thank @AlexPads for giving my free hosting in few hours.

  • If providers don't deliver on their promises, then ban them until its paid back in full with an apology.

    @VPSSLIM isn't @PulsedMedia though?

please update the title accordingly to include both

Fair enough, but since others had already mentioned @VPSSLIM as another example of a provider who didn't award the prizes that they had offered, I simply wanted to add a confirmation of this

That said, you're right, this thread is first and foremost about @PulsedMedia

  • Somebody start a hall of shame thread under /providers listing these untrustworthy villains

    but both are shady?!

I think @yoursunny should take charge for this. He already has a no-IPv6 shame list.

  • If you check their profile they haven't even commented since Jan 27, so I guess cut them some slack based on that. They'll log in eventually, and I'm sure there's messages waiting for them about this.

I was once a @VPSSLIM customer and had some sites and vps from them but the answers were anything but professional and at some point they simply closed my tickets without replying.

To be honest, I'd actually forgotten I'd even won this €25 credit. If it doesn't arrive, I guess I won't be trying them after all, so it's just a bungled advertising opportunity.

  • I think there will more providers which still active on LET but ignored to provide the prize, not only 2 mentioned here :D

  • @FAT32 - Can you place a term next year where providers must give the prizes within a reasonable amount of time? i.e. 30 days.

i think that's too much work for him, he cant be responsible for #NoPulse

  • We should have an no-YABS shame list.

Providers offering VPS services without offering YABS in first post should be there.
