    • You should think about this as Francisco receiving a bonus and not BuyVM being handed off to some randoms.

lol, please do print this out and look at it again in five years.

    What do you mean?

  • Is the new location DMCA resistant? :s

Very late now in internet time, but I guess the meaning was that it's not a bonus, it's a company getting sold. I have nothing against it and I like Francisco but I agree with @blorged - seeing this as a bonus getting paid out is pure coping.

Makes sense. I liked BuyVM but I'm not confident about this buyout.

It will be detached and moved to Switzerland in May I’m guessing.

The racks got signed and should be ready next week I think? He has nodes already being built and probably even shipped. I’m hoping to have things up and a majority of users migrating by early April or sooner :)

Once we get going it’ll be fast.

to ask about this and other things. It seems that directly pushing potential customers to order from the now parent company that doesn't have feature or offering parity makes things difficult and confusing...

I just had the weirdest support experience on this cloudzy platform. Might have been a mistake to move your customers to them. I managed to get softlocked installing from an ISO. I asked if they'd be able to help resolve the issue since they don't have the features for me to un-softlock myself. Get an AI response hallucinating features their platform doesn't have. It even provided an instruction video to do the thing I want, but it makes up panel elements that don't exist on their site.

This is simultaneously the most impressive and shit experience I've had in my whole life, and I never would have guessed that those two things would have ended up being the same moment in my life.

AI modifying UI mockup and rendering it in video. The application... gas lighting support.

Humanity is destined to either have the best aspirations and insufficient tools to achieve it. Or the most amazing tools imaginable employed for the worst possible applications.

    Oh please.

They've been working to train an AI to help with very basic things (basically things you'd have in a knowledgebase). I'm sure if they ticketed support or asked for an agent it'd get helped quickly. Cloudzy has a pretty good sized support staff.

BuyVM doesn't use this since Stallion's pretty simple to move around. Its been a hot minute since i've heard someone be confused on how Stallion works.

I don’t know what their internal plans are. I think they wanted to learn from stallion and build out their own panel and then add a lot of stuff we didn’t (hourly billing, etc).

Simply no stock then. Lux is perma out until it moves to Swiss.

I don’t see them merging the brands. They each have their own markets.

Excuse my opinion, how does it work? A company X buys another company but isn't interested in its business sector/customers? What is the case with the purchase of a company? I'd like you to tell me if I'm wrong? Maybe I shouldn't have commented.

When a company X buys, they focus on their customers, their sector, their service. Otherwise, imagine buying a business you're not interested in. It's not feasible?

    Regards.

@ozonti said: A company X buys another company but isn't interested in its business sector/customers?

Us not having stock is nothing about them 'not being interested' in growing the brand. We've been completely fixated on getting this LUX move done. We've had plenty of delays due to customs, tariff's causing some shortages or fights with vendors, etc.

We've already discussed which locations need the stock the most, with Swiss getting a good bit more new inventory, not just enough to get us moved. We'll then push for more in New York, and keep moving from there.

    Francisco

  • Hello Do you have a date for the Luxembourg move?

Impossible to buy LUX at Buyvm and traffic is not unlimited at Cloudzy
