@sillycat
And what's that to do with his choice of billing software? see -> topic.
Oh shit, sorry. Back on topic.
Blesta is quite nice and highly customizable. It's a bit pricey when purchased directly from Blesta, but it pairs well with a BuyVM plan.
Yes. Very respectable 'businesses'.
Wow!
what the actual fuck
Most Wanted one on https://dmcacrimes.com
https://dmcacrimes.com/wanted.php
https://dmcacrimes.com/detail_host.php?id=6

Its founder, "retired prosecutor and veteran copyright lawyer Tom Torch" also looks quite shady

He seems to hate DCMA Crimes

I moved to Blesta, bought the owned license, and waiting their v5.13 to become available since in Romania we are now forcing to do e-Invoicing.
In my opinion you have to do research by its own on those to see if it fits you; customers mostly doesn’t care what you use; if you’re a trusty, loyalty, etc, guy, then this is all matter in the end.
After a week we have completely changed to Blesta, we only need some configurations that we are doing and we believe that the change is for the better.
Damn! Now, that’s something, for real… I mean, the “real” part, lol… The Internet is truly a crazy place, lol.
In the mean time.. one more vote for WHMCS!
I had a friend build his in-house and he didn’t like the result after he poured over nearly €60K EUR… sometimes you just have to go with the KISS principle, honestly. It would have cost him so much less, but some people have money to throw away. Literally.
I love the DCMA. One of the most common typos, though. Haha, but I do think that site is fake in all honesty. Lol
Not fake it seems. I got a DMCA Report from this site. Just Today.
Its some schizo running it. I dont Know.
But i visited the domain and saw a known Name and laughed. The morning started very well.
Whatever the hell that thing is, it's fake as shit. I am saying this only because I never got any type of notice from them, or him, or what you want to call it... it's someone having fun for sure, but I don't quite see the purpose behind it.
Such a criminal, brb. Going to go and self-report myself for allegedly being the "Most Wanted Criminal" and nearly all underutilized resources, so am quite interested how he came to such a conclusion.... Slanderous? Maybe...
Do I care? Not really.. Verasel, as the representative the "company" never once stated it ignores anything, let alone "claims" to "keep servers located in countries that do not honor copyright laws", or the one where it states that it's under an active criminal investigation.
Kind of funny, but not really... but I suppose, I hope that it made them happy, writing that thing, and making that website. Even though I never heard of them.
Fact of the matter is, I have no reason to lie. Whether a domain name is using the company info or not, or if someone claims I host something I don't. It doesn't change the fact that I am here to help people, and make stupid jokes... like with the Juniper... flaming is good for forum activity, but stupid lies, or taking things out of context, not so much.
I had the amazing pleasure of talking to @techdragon privately while this was going on, and it's just astounding how many intelligent people there are on this board, who are ready to listen, and talk about things like men. I am not claiming that @techdragon agrees with me or my business, or that he took my side or that he supports me, I am saying that I really had a good chat with him, and that makes me happy about this community.
Dialogue.
OK, so now what is the de jure billing software?
The billing software de jour?
(Or as a moron I used to work with would say, what is the soup de jour of the day?)
How about the de minimis billing software?
I do believe WHMCS is the de rigueur software, which is what the OP meant.
WHMCS was common back in a days, but the price it doesnt fit anymore my pocket or even the business model, they do pricing increase year by year and nothing improved for years.
Verasel is definitely one of a kind schizo, but this is insane:
That's an attack without any legal ground.
Why is the topic of billing software converted into a discussion on how legal the business of @Veracel is?
Hey! Put some respect on this diligent man's name. He's slinging ivy bridge servers on the homepage for 40€!
I don't know, man, but one thing that I do know is that I can provide servers (who gives a shit how old the CPU is, etc, if you need it to be online 24x7 and not be bothered by bullshit) and bandwidth, in bulk, at a cheap price.
Whether or not someone has an issue with it, wants to write weird things online, etc. That's completely up to them, I'm not going to go and try and make it anything other than it is: unmanaged servers and a virtual office service.
It's one of those things where you can't win, because one group of people will be mad because of the websites, and the other group of people will be mad at you because of the prices. Because I can 100% guarantee that no one does cheaper 10GB/s here, and that's not a "flex", it's just common sense to chase for customers who want a lot of bandwidth, and not for premium shit, etc. I'll leave that to the guys wearing the nice fancy suits.
I really don't know either man, I'm not a provider and wouldn't even call myself a hosting expert by any means compared to some of the people on here. I do know my way around physical and virtual servers but really this reply just made me scratch my head.
No one does cheaper 10 gig here than YOU? What do you mean? Even the worst fly by night "here-today-gone-tomorrow" hosting companies look like Fortune 500 companies next to you. Your Ivy Bridge server on the homepage is 1 gigabit. Honest question, how much more do I spend to get a 10 gigabit connection to you? I'm asking as a potential customer, because if what you're saying is actually true that's dope (beating BuyVM & HostHatch 10 gigabit prices??) , you might actually be that one very rare person/product/company who's product is so good that it makes perfect sense that you do not have anything on your website? (Just let the servers speak for themselves or something?)
Where is... anything? Signal Messenger to Client Portal? Is there a looking glass link? You own this hardware? You mention custom servers I genuinely might just buy a month with you for my own curiosity unless somebody already has?
Also going to add on that
There is no point in providing any more information than is already posted on the website.
It's as simple as it gets: you prove you are a serious person with an existing website, and we will match the price and give you the best deal. We don't (yet) deal with hobbyists - our free offering (either Shared or VPS) will be for hobbyists, etc. and will allow anyone stable and resilient hosting for free.
Servers listed on the homepage are the ones for LET once our Patron Tag is assigned, but Jon is busy at the moment, so that hasn't been done, and therefore we can't sell anything.
Once that is done, the LET thread will contain the billing URL. As of now, those servers are just a placeholder, and an approximate price range (might even be cheaper, etc), and are the type of servers that won't be an issue if the customer cancels the next month, etc.
I hope that clears things up a bit more.
You have like 2 or 3 modules for WHMCS for "E-factura" by now, I can confirm they work.
@host_c : I moved out from WHMCS not just because of missing of an essential module (aka e-Invoicing), which by the way by law WHMCS it should do it by themself to their customers from Europe. @COLBYLICIOUS helped me out with some informations and I was able to sort out and make my own for ANAF. This year in UK you are forced also to do e-Invoicing, as far I know WHMCS it does businesses in UK (United Kingdom), let's see what they gonna do. :-)
They do by themself,
https://dev.blesta.com/browse/CORE-5292
https://hostbillapp.com/features/apps/xml_ubl/
For HB you need the following module: https://hostbillapp.com/features/apps/xml_zugferd/
Which is not included. The XML UBl dont work
“The module provides support for ZUGFeRD - one of the two established e-invoice formats in Germany” (included in HB All Inclusive)
Your company is made in Germany, so it may don’t fit with your country or law rule but for ours it does it jobs pretty well and in the end you get something than nothing in exchange.
