I'm sorry, but the giveaway has already ended.
Ok.
Just new here, so didn't have story.
I think itβs already over, but your story continues in life, only in the way you perceive life and the various events of each day, until the final moment of life. Sharing it requires courage! Itβs so bitter... like strong liquor, intense...
We are a top student in chemistry during high school.
The teacher asked each of the top 3 students to teach a chemistry lesson to the class.
We were incredibly shy at the time, so we prepared our lesson plan with audio recording of our speech.
We would display the pictures and play the audio recording from our MP3 player, without speaking a word.
We also made an Excel spreadsheet for drawing names to answer questions.
It had a vector of student IDs and names, along with a RANDOM() function that draws a record from the vector.
We could hold the F9 key to rotate the names, and release the key to lock in a name.
Some students don't want their names drawn and warned that they would bully us if they are picked, but we informed them that the spreadsheet is designed to work with exactly 55 students excluding ourself and would error otherwise.
Nevertheless, I downloaded the spreadsheet into the classroom computer one day prior and let them have at it.
They modified the table so that it still has 55 student IDs, but 19 of these student IDs are pointing to the same name.
During the lesson, we asked five questions, and the person with that name was picked twice.
When he was picked for the second time, he reluctantly stood up and exclaimed "why it's me again".
The teacher said, "it's the computer picking names, so it must be fair".
RIGGED
This is so funny that it made me laugh. I retold the story to my wife and we laugh together.
