Not trying to win anything, just sharing that having a family is truly a gift. I won’t go too deep, but here’s my story.
In early 2023, my wife was pregnant with our first child. A few days later, I got into a motorcycle accident because some dumbass suddenly tried crossing the road without looking. I crashed while trying to evade him, and by the time I woke up from fainting, he was gone. My left hand was broken, and I was taken to the hospital by a passerby who helped me.
I had four surgeries over the span of 3–4 months. My elbow joint was crushed, my ulna and radius were broken into multiple pieces, and my left thumb couldn’t bend. With little savings, we had to rely solely on my wife's salary. Many of my projects were left unfinished because of my injury. It took me about five months before I could use my hand again.
We argued almost every day—about money, the bills, and the worries of how we would provide for our child. My family lived in a different city, and my in-laws did too. We were alone in this city because we had moved there for my wife's job.
As time passed and my wife's due date approached, we decided to return to my hometown for the birth. Three days after we arrived, we went to the hospital, and two days later, our child was born. From the time of the accident to the moment we were in the hospital, there were so many worries. But when our child was born, all of those worries just disappeared. We just laughed and cried in front of our baby, forgetting everything else.
Thankfully, our national healthcare system covered the costs, so we didn’t have to pay. My parents really helped my wife and me during that time, and being surrounded by family who could support us mentally was truly a blessing.
So, don’t take family for granted. Call them from time to time when you can’t be there.
a story

YESS.
Finally, someone noticed.
pass my friend, already too much on my plate right now
I'm her just for free money!
not good at telling some sad story anyhow, always rumbling on back story than the main theme, and always do re-edit on already written one (didn't like messy narative)
just move on without me. here for just moral support.
You need to write your story to enter.
Will it be published in weekly shounen jump? Does it accept erotic web novels?.....
Just kidding 😂 I am really looking forward to some more stories here.
Another story
First of all, thank you @Verasel and @Dazzle! Here's just a small part of my life:
I had an accident four years ago that completely wrecked my bike. I started to recover and looked for multiple jobs but could only find one. It paid very little and was far from home, so fuel, bills, and other expenses kept me at zero balance. I applied for better jobs at nearly 15 different places. My interviews went well, but the management always chose someone they knew either a relative or a friend. Then, I tried freelancing. I got my first client and worked for him for two days, completing his project. But after that, he disappeared. Two weeks later, I finally got a message he had an accident, and the person he hit filed a case against him. He had to go to court every day, which made things worse.
(Finishing the client's story here.)
I was disappointed. The new year was just a month away, so I used my remaining Upwork connects to find more clients but got nothing. Then, Upwork made it mandatory to submit certain documents that cost four times what my low-paying job paid me. Meeting those requirements was impossible, so I had to quit Upwork.
(Let’s finish my story here it's getting long! 😛)
This month, I won a $10 new year thread reward from Greencloud. I was happy and asked them to send it via crypto or any other method since my country doesn't support Wise international payments. But they said "the prize was offered via Wise only or account credit". Account credit doesn’t help in real life. Oh well still no luck.
Good luck to everyone else!
I will cheer anyone who really pour their mind and emotion to tell us interesting story, hope they will find peace in it 😇
Crazy Sunday
It was lazy Sunday. I unexpectedly found that one of my vps was died. There weren't the notifications from the hoster about changes, closing their business and others. I found the new IP, new root password of the server. It was created from the scratch without the data from the previous one. I started to panic. I tried to connect to the old IP, no connection. Fine... I took a cup of coffee and my brain was finding a solution of the issue. Data lost..? It wasn't a mortal issue but enough uncomfortable. The coffee was fine and I did the second attempt to got my data. It was a magic but the connect to the old server was established and I was able to download all data I needed and wiped all sensitive data from the disk. It was Sunday evening, the nice one!
This thread was inspired by the crypto prize and I remembered something about the crypto.
I heard about Bitcoin a lot of years ago before the hype in 2017 was caused but I couldn't recognize a future of it. I regret now because I сould buy enough BTC it was about $100 not $100K as currently. The 1000X is a good profit. A some forecasts tell us that BTC price will be about $1M, is it possibly?
Some of my friends think BTC is a fake and it's not money. They laugh when I ask them about their crypto investments. They want money (who is not?) but they don't want crypto. What do you think about BTC and crypto at all? Is the time to buy BTC is passed because of the price is high?
When I read the rule of this giveaway I wasn't be able to create a story.
I decided to get help from AI but I couldn't register at DeepSeek, it was returning a strange permanent error during the registration. I went to ChatGPT and asked it without registration but the answers were quite strange and I decided not to use them. I couldn't chat to AI successfully. Maybe AI is stupid or me or both but I have no story that I planned.
Nevertheless, I have the story that not all in our life is the same as we it imagine.
pay someone at fiverr etc 5$ to get $50 seems fair

I was a person living in a messy and lonely world. My days felt boring and without purpose, until I met someone special who taught me the importance of caring for small things and connecting with others. This friendship gave me new hope and made me realize that even in tough times, kindness and love can improve everything.
^ I just described WallE.
Maan, you're thinking out of the box.
45 minutes remaining.
Yeah, "What AI ?"
Man in need of money will work better than AI that has shady background & motivation.
