Well it ruins a bit of fun but for someone who doesn't travel / browse around a lot if I dont Google at all I stand 0 chance

if you're good enough at memorizing patterns and play enough you start to pick up on small geographic details for each location

This game reminds me of the small games we used to play at Orkut, Facebook, Myspace, etc. in the early social networking days.
Actually it ruins a lot of fun lol. I would say that's the essence of this game, to try to assume where's the place. I really laughed when there was that mosque when most of players were so close (I guess it was Pakistan if not wrong), yet mine was magnitude further like in Lebanon.
