@raindog308 Got another fun one for ya:

Path is being sued for not paying their Office Rent:

    https://superiorcourt.maricopa.gov/docket/CivilCourtCases/caseInfo.asp?caseNumber=CV2024-029974

Latest updates for the case were this week. (They lost in default)

Someone sponsors us for the cheapest Path plan so that the push-up logo appears there.

  • Path is not solvent.

I am unfortunately owed a significant amount by Path.net.
They don't seem to understand what "contractual obligations" means.

We shall witness their downfall over the next few months.

    300k USD minus taxes.

I doubt that. When I sold a Ferrari I learned (the hard way) that (at least that kind of) cars loose 1/3rd to 1/2 of their value as soon as they leave the dealership because from that moment on they are a "used car". At least it was like that quite a while ago in Europe.

Besides what Path owes plus some "trust-building" advance payments that is, their path to survival, quite likely is higher than what the Lambo sale brings in ...

Anyway, sad - but shockingly neither that uncommon not that surprising - story that whole Path thing.

Why, why did you not stop giving them the services that they are supposed to pay for when they stopped paying?

I am not in the industry so I may be missing some things. I don't understand how Path was allowed to continue for months apparently without paying anyone.

We did stop. We are not one of their current vendors. We cut ties.
0 payments have been made on owed amounts.

It is unfortunate that it has to end like this.

Across all of their vendors I am sure more than three (at minimum) lawsuits are being filed.

What did you provide them? How is it possible that they can get free stuff for months before getting cut off by so many vendors?

You mean they payed you for a time for services rendered, then they suddenly stopped all payments?

How long between that and when you stopped rendering services?

Were there any communications or reasons for not paying up?

  • it’s not surprising - commercial terms are often invoiced way after the fact, with 30 or more days to pay, and if it’s a customer you hitherto liked, when they call up and tell you about their temporary cash flow problem, which they apologetically say is because one of their customers is screwing them around, why wouldn’t you give them another 30 days? And another? You’ve got all their hardware in your DC etc, why wouldn’t you?

And here we are. Admittedly creditors should be a bit more suspicious since they did this exact thing last year too.

    .

Equinix will invoice Customer for the Services on a monthly basis (partial months will he billed on a pro rata basis) and Customer will pay for the Services in accordance with this Section 3 and the Orders. Customer will pay in full all invoices from Equinix within thirty (30) days from the receipt of invoice.

Equinix may terminate this Agreement (or, at Equinix’s sole discretion, suspend the provision of Services, including discontinuing the supply of power) if (i) Customer fails to cure any monetary breach of this Agreement (e.g. fails to pay any amounts owed) within ten (10) days of notice of the same (five (5) days in the event Customer’s account is past due on three (3) or more occasions during a six (6)-month period)

  • What other Miami data center options will Path have?

If I answer your first question, I might as well just rename my account to my company name. So cannot tell you that one.

As for "free stuff", you can understand most companies, especially smaller ones, tend to assume customers deal in good faith, and not fuck you in the ass. Our fault in trusting in people. Should not have done so.

Why don't you want your company name to be known? Its free advertising.

Maybe its just me, but in my experience, there's a very high percentage of scammers that will take advantage of anything and everything. There's always someone that will chargeback or not pay, or use a stolen credit card.

  • @lenson said: tend to assume customers deal in good faith,

I've never understood the idea that "real businessmen" spend their time ripping off their suppliers/customers. The real path (pun intended) to profitability is decades-long business relationships.

  • When can I see liquidated hardware man I need some.

  • They said in the discord yesterday "after lack of communication and abrupt outages, we have decided to migrate...". I've never seen irony and lack of self awareness collide so hard. Then we got banned for saying "RIP Tempest", like we don't have a right to be upset too.

    Mee too

  • Apparently they owe almost 250k USD in rents alone, if this is true:

This is true to some extent of all cars, though not 50% in a typical case like a Toyota. It was much worse during the pandemic when people were paying a premium over sticker.

You know, I would not have pictured you as a Ferrari kind of guy. Then again, I really have no logical reason for that misperception. It's cool you could buy one new, though! I wonder if they are cheaper in EU than USA. Here, they're easily $250K-$500K based on the google I just did.

And you were right. I bought it to make someone in my family very, very happy (and to stop her endlessly nagging me). About a week later I sold it and was really happy to finally sit in a real car again ...

Maybe a bit, Idk, but the price of that thing was quite close to the upper end of your price range too. Oh well, some lessons are best learned with plenty pain ... even literally; she very soon complained about how so tight it was in that box.
She never ever nagged me again re "dream car".

Wrt you picturing me: I am and always was a "boring" guy concerning cars that is, a (not too) small car in a major city and (my preference) a boring but solid and reliable car when living outside a city or in a small one.

Whatever, I guess selling that Lambo gives him a few months at best (keeping Path alive).

  • AS set from Path is added today at the AS set from Macarne:
    https://bgp.tools/as-set/as64289:as-macarne (AS396998:AS-ALL)

Macarne only a new upstream or also the new colo for Path Networks?

So, they can't pay their bills and keep digging the hole deeper by moving to other providers. That sounds like veil piercing and potentially jail time.

But then again, it’s the US. They can always show up in court wearing a MAGA clown suit and get pardoned for their crimes.

    36 NE 2nd St - Databank, ColoHouse/Hivelocity, Digital Realty
If they want to remain in a carrier hotel of course. All they technically need is a GTT circuit so that make

    2115 Nw 22nd St - Coresite

All the rest (cologix, equinix) they are banned from.

  • You all need to remember that:
