    I was told it will be .nl!

    .nl has some global filtering, thanks to leaseweb and similar spam heavens :D
    .ae / .sa have good domestic delivery, but global delivery is terrible. mails from .ae are filtered by default.
    so better stick with .us for better delivery, but you may receive messages anywhere though, .nl ets, doesn't matter.

    Don’t they use the same in/outbound relay/filters for all of the servers/location? Or will the deliverability change based on the server location?

    We do. What he’s saying is that some countries get auto downgraded in anti spam systems because of too many dirty asns. Other countries have companies that outright block outside emails all together.

  • Money is short right now. Hope the price will at least stays at $69.42 for a while. The lifetime deal is pretty nice.

    @Francisco is there any way to see how many each email id has sent? Like we have two email ids sales and support but we want to see stats like how many email sales email sent and how many emails support email sent. Now as per my finding we can only see whole domain stats.

    As the domain admin you can generate reports that should include that.

    Question to everyone. We are looking to offer activesync/eas as a paid addon. Probably around $3/year per inbox.

    We can’t do it for free or bake in since it requires licensing be paid per inbox (not per domain, per inbox).

    We know there is things like zpush but I’m not sure how good it is or if I want to try side loading it with smartermail.

    $3/year is not much. But out of curiosity, what would be the expected delay time if EAS is enabled? Asking because my Android mail app pulls IMAP update in the background every 5 minutes. If EAS/ActiveSync pushes emails on the order of a few seconds, I'd be very interested; but if it has ~ 1 min delay, then probably not that useful.

    @sliix said:
    $3 - $5/year is a no brainer I’ll take it for sure for time sensitive inboxes.

    Even happier if zpush works well during the test though 😉

    EAS is basically instant and that’s how fast this would be.

    Doesn't imap idle basically make this a non-issue these days? I recall the days my BlackBerry beat all, but nowadays, when there's a new email, my phone and gmail pretty much alert in seconds.

    @multi too.

    We have zpush setup, just autodiscover isn’t happy yet. Avg timers are around 20s from sent from gmail to iPhone push. It’s not as fast as native activesync, but are people willing to pay to shave that time? You tell me.

    We need to get contacts and the calendar syncing on zpush too, but that’s just some config files.

    Someone said their “from” was a bit derpy so I’ll research and test that.

    Let me know.

    Yes, if you ban .nl, you won't lose much, except large amount of spam. However, some gov/semi-gov orgs in NL restrict mail to their own country.

    But if you ban the USA, it will be bad. Because MS and Gmail send from the US only.

    You can use an xmpp client to connect to it and talk to the other users on your domain.

    it's more than 19 seconds lost on delivery ;)

    but the option for immediate delivery for 3$/year is a fair option.

    i'm wondering whether nl is the optimal location for cranemail (see above).

    Francisco

    Maybe moving the outbound relay to EU would be an option as well, so all the servers can share the good IP reputation, while keeping everything in EU. iirc MC does something similar as well (they host it on Canada - for some reason it's different from hosting it in the U.S. i guess?)
