TL;DR:
This is a giveaway. Post the following hashtag to get a free gift.
#Qujannaqatigalugu mianersoqqissaarutikka marloriaatinngortiguk.
Can i get a free Sports Car?
Qujannaqatigalugu mianersoqqissaarutikka marloriaatinngortiguk.
I want the free gift
You already have one?
Ask @Arkas; he is the one running the giveaway.
Greenlandic (Kalaallisut)*:
Qujannaqatigalugu mianersoqqissaarutikka marloriaatinngortiguk
English: Please double my warnings.
*It might not be 100% correctly translated.
I’m very certain they won’t ever be.
This was already a thread. Changes was promised. It was later sunk and the changes were never implemented. They won’t be this time either.
Take it for what it is, enjoy your time here or don’t. That’s my advice.
Spam Only, Please!
Spam and maps.
Meh. After first time, warnings loses its charm.
So I withdraw my hashtag as I have already received many such free gifts and also will be receiving in future without need to do anything.
So second time failed coup?
This will repeat.
Coup after coup
Members will get the short end of the stick and be happy with the carrot dangled in front of them.
Yes that's where it stands.
Anyone hoping for a change is going to be supremely disappointed.
I think the lack of communication from the mods and admins also make it more difficult.
May ideas were thrown by different posters. At least address a few and give a feedback of any positive or negative.
The total silence is where disappointment is.
When the threads were getting locked, everyone knew that it will open eventually. It was just a matter of when and not if.
I wish I could see how much $$$ the owners get from racknerd and these other bums who resort to such dirty tactics to sell servers.
Everyone has a price, I think it would be nice to what the price actually is
I really hope you stop making these 'assumptions' based on nothing. Are you using an 8 ball and does it keep disappointing you?
None are assumptions.
There is 0 transparency from mod/ admin team.
No end date is defined.
@jbiloh in April 2024 mentioned that the changes were finalized and he is figuring out how to implement the same.
Give members a reason to belive there is change coming. "Trust me bro" days are long gone.
Until then do not twist words and say members are asassuming. It is a fact, nothing has happened instead of several attempts in the past.
The fact that I am here and this thread is open, and you haven't heard anything else from anyone else yet, say a LOT. Sometimes silence is very LOUD
I don't even know the outcome, but I already said a lot. I never said 'trust me bro' and I am not @jbiloh.
Anyone remembers this? https://lowendtalk.com/discussion/192140/humans-only-please/p27
It is unbumpable!
Were subcomments mentioned as a feature/suggestion? They can subcomment to the original post and not ruin the feel of the entire post.
Questions and actual discussion can happen in normal comments, all the spam can go as a subcomment on the first post. Subcomments don't bump threads.
I think it would be the best of both worlds, hosts can quantiple bandwidth all they want and people can still talk and discuss freely.
One good thing about this has been more giveaways here at LET, as it does give providers more incentive to provide a giveaway so I hope those don't go away.
But providers don't really want to do that extra work of doubling bandwidth for each order - the only point of having these spam comments is to bump threads. So I am not seeing that as a viable option.
I have remembered it for thr longest time.
I even posted a couple comments from @jbiloh where everything was ready, just had to be implemented.
But yeah. Changes are coming.
I guess that bilou was hit with lawsuit threats to reopen threads and let the spam continue.
To be honest, offering some freebies can be valuable in attracting more customers - which is crucial in the market. I can only speak for myself, but I see that a lot of people are seeing offer more attractive, when they are offered a freebie (ie. doubled bandwith, 1 free month or something like that
). Of course, it's bumping the thread - but maybe implementing an option to hide it by the user would be the best idea? Then - both providers and customers can benefit from it!
I got some ideas, maybe discuss them.
1st as written sites ago. Adding 2 threads, means, there could be a category for deals and a category for answers. The answers category can be hidden in user settings if you want to.
2nd example: Use Google/Microsoft forms for freebies, giveaways, whatever comes.
3rd. Post deals on LEB and you wont loose customers, by choosing other platforms.
4th. Create a new site for interactions.
"1st as written sites ago. Adding 2 threads, means, there could be a category for deals and a category for answers. Totally creating a new site for interactions (4th) will create even bigger mess IMO. What do you think about ability for user to just hide a thread?
Maybe like channels, that separates the threads for its uses.
Hiding a thread makes less sense, if you can find some informations between the mess.
