  • I'd also like to add that it should be possible to upload ISO files on your own through the panel, and create at least one free backup, also through the panel.

Is it possible to save a bit and find a reliable VDS for $5/month?

Here's a VDS matching at all points:

    It's not a VDS; it's a VPS
You can't pull the wool over my eyes 🙂

  • After a lot of searching and hassle, I got a VDS from @ShockHosting
Let's see what comes of it.

The test results are really great, in my opinion:

  • Qemu core with even AES-NI disabled. Haven't seen this for a while...
And running a dd with a blocksize of 1G? RAM is fast my man!

You have no idea what you are doing there or looking at, do you?

Best of luck to you and @ShockHosting - to be fair, you don't need a VDS anyway, just a bit of luck to get a certain feature set fitting your webhosting based expectation.

    From @ShockHosting to me:

    Bucharest - AMD EPYC 9354P 3.25 Ghz base frequency, boost up to 3.8 Ghz. 4800 Mhz DDR5 ECC CL40 memory, 12 x 32 GB DIMM'S with 12 channels

    New York - AMD EPYC 7F72 3.2 Ghz base frequency, boost up to 3.7 Ghz. 3200 Mhz DDR4 ECC CL22 memory, 8 x 32 GB DIMM's with 8 channels

  • I need a server or at least a VPS or VDS like the one I have now, not just shared web hosting. Even if it's just for a single-page website on Drupal. I'm not a kid, I know what I want and what I need for my happy life 🤣🤣🤣
