I am asking @Mumbly if that's worth it.
Now I am asking you too!
Which provider is this with ?
HostBrr
we talked already about it.. dont you remember?
I do but maybe you changed the opinion? xd
Then, cancel is the answer that makes financial sense
VPS 4000 ARM G11
Come on... it's hard for someone else to say whether it's worth keeping.
Is it stable? Most likely, yes. Is the price of 48 EUR/year okay? It seems fair for those resources.
I recently got several great resource VPSs from Germany for a good price, though.
Prohosting24 DE - 4 AMD EPYC 9554 Cores/16 GB memory/200 GB NVME/stable - for 4,95€ - keeper!
Index-hosting DE - 4 AMD EPYC 9334 vCores/12 GB memory/100GB NVME/not really stable - for 3,49€ - not really sure if it's worth to keep. Their lack of experience is noticeable. If they mature instead of deadpooling, it could be a great deal, though.
Index-hosting DE - 2 Ryzen 9 7950X3D vCores/8 GB memory/100GB NVME/not really stable - for barely 2,49€ - not really sure if it's worth to keep. Their lack of experience is noticeable. If they mature instead of deadpooling, it could be a great deal, though.
UltraVPS DE - 2 EPYC 7402P cores/4 GB memory/100GB NVME/stable - for 9€/3 months - Still thinking about it. Unlike some others here, they're a mature host. They're also hosted in a different data center, which is good for variety. The two-disk setup doesn't appeal to me, though. I'll think about it.
Hostbrr - 2 EPYC 9534 vCores/6 GB memory/80GB NVME/stable so far - for 12€/3 months - not sure yet (I think this may be the same deal as you have, but with different cpu)
So, if you compare your VPS to those above which I believe some of them were from various aspects among the best (there's also Bero-Host and FameSystems that come to mind) hosted in Germany deals from 2024, your resources/price-wise isn't the worst, nor the best.
So it all comes down to stability and the trust you have in the company.
nice! the @ProHosting24 9554 is epic! i'll keep it.
Me too
The deal is even sweeter with the occasional 30% top-up bonus, that makes the payment for one VPS (I have two there) per year go from 60 € down to 48 €.
but this promotion is no longer valid, right?
My vote would be No, for three reasons
Occasionally. They had that promotion twice in the last few months. When they launched that great deal on LET and Black Friday, I think.
Is there any ProHosting deal?
This offer is a much better deal
nah! i do a cleanout and then it's a good idea to get rid of the vir*** and a few others (clouvider etc.).
Don't saw that its a VPS from virmach. LET GO! DON'T KEEP IT
If that's a Vir... and not xTom directly, this changes my perspective on it. Cancel.
Since the day I canceled every Vir VPS above $10 (that's $25 VPS), I've had much fewer issues with that company. Why?
My last $25 /yr VPS was powerful (4GB memory, 3 IPs, 100GB disk quota, etc...), but I didn't dare to host anything of value on it, so it was permanently idle.
On the other hand, I still have two smaller but still decent $6.95 /yr 2GB memory VPSes with them because I mostly host crap (some Squid proxy, VPN, webSSH...) on them, so I can afford downtimes, lack of ticket responses, IP changes, migrations, or anything... without being pissed off.
By paying more, I would most likely want to host something more important and time-demanding, and this hosting company simply isn't fit for that.
yep. it was a vir*** frankfurt (aka crackfurt) vps. moved to netherlands a while ago. canceled!
