hmm i haven't been outside since 13th, been busy with lots of stuff here and there, work is just a small part of my reason though.
That's sad. I wonder if it's banned for me in the provider I use...
Transcoding for Plex)Jellyfin?
It depends on the provider at what they consider fair share, they might have it stated in their AUP and atmost the VPSs are limited to 25% of average CPU usage(doesn't apply to many hosts). If your usage only occasionally spikes an gets back to minimal usage then you are probably fine.
No for my youtube site
Yea and i can also limit my ffmpeg cpu usage to like 10-20% of a vCPU
Indeed! Its probably the only thing i have a use for
I have a good pc so no need lappy, i dont really need playstation as i just game on PC. Telly will be nice as i have a small old telly
Whats different about it? Its not required to run new games right? Someone i know said they wanted it and they were shot down by everyone else saying y tho? as if the switch one is good enough
Yeah, I use it for like only minutes per day. Nothing about fair use in any place on the site...
I think you need a VDS
then you will be fine... probably... i guess?....
Do you know what "trouble" means? I've been running a minecraft server on one for 2 days. Its working great. It does use a lot of CPU though but its not running at 100%. often runs about 80% when everyone is running around doing stuff. Seems to be hovering closer to 20%-30% most of the time though
if you are only doing the high usage for couple of minutes then you don't have to worry, also try to find the AUP and read it as some hosts tends to limit the fair share to 10% or so...
It's just simple CPU steal, for example let's say i have four VMs each sharing a single core, imagine what will happen if i max the cpu usage on one of the VMs, the other three's CPU tasks will be put on hold until the one using the full cpu releases the load.
man i am starting to like zen browser...... atlest more than the arc browser...... will it replace my daily driver firefox? i guess it will take atleast a month for me decide this.
It's a small provider so no AUP in their site as it seems...
Yeah, but i want low costs. Speed does not matter as this will be for background processing.
I hope so. I will probably DM dustin to ask
try checking the TnC some includes the usage policy in TnC
So I can't use 100% of the CPU that appears in the virtfusion panel, right?
It only says "excessive absue" is not allowed
If the cores aren't dedicated(VDS) then no you can't utilize the 100% CPU all the time, occasional spikes are fine let's say my VM jumped to 100% while compiling for 5-6 minutes a day and get back to 1-2% after that isn't violating the AUP.
Dustin always comes to rescue, i hope the AUP isn't lower than 25%.....
then you might want to clarify with the provider about the fairshare limit on resource usage especially what they consider excessive in their terms.
Sounds like your new lappy can start with zen browser from the start
That should meet that month timeline
I've DMed dustin
How's that notification count coming, @Beniskickbutt
For what its worth this is for RN. Doesnt seem to say what it is specifically
@BlazinDimes
Nowhere near yours i bet! 6,783 at the moment
It depends on the last date, anything can happen and i don't see you relinquish your top position this year.
