Not possible with zero swap, so I ran it again with swap.

    Thank you.
This is a better indicator of 2x vCores.

However, a bit of concern about overselling, if GB5 test can not be run just with 1 GB memory and zero swap.

One thing that seems a bit interesting / bizarre is that the VPS has a 10.0.0.0 IP and it seems connections to the external IP are rewritten. Not sure why they've done it that way, the only other time I've seen that done is with Oracle Cloud, so I'm guessing these might just be resold Aliyun cloud instances.

We are in partnership with Alibaba Cloud, and they serve as one of our key suppliers. :)

Already paid but the service is still in pending status, can you pls active my service?

    HDD?

it is SSD, however based on what neighbor VPS are doing these benchmark will vary. Since VPS storage is just 20 GB, it would mean far more neighbors on the host server.

In my HDD based VPS, I do get better benchmark number as compared to this one

$7/year is not same as $7/first-year with $36/year from second year

  • I think ClawCloud's $7/year VPS offers great value for money, with good CPU performance and network experience. The 200mbps speed is sufficient for most needs. However, I hope ClawCloud can offer more features, such as custom images. It's also worth mentioning that they provide 30 days of free daily backups, and all of this costs only $7 per year.

This is the result of my test yabs:

Could you please run this script against $7 vps?

I don't have the $7 vps, only the $4.2/m China optimised one.

TBH, I don't much care about disk or CPU in this. I'll attempt to run haproxy with an SSL endpoint on this, but if it can't handle the load, I'll just forward the encrypted SSL to my more powerful box in HK instead.

The only reason for getting this particular VPS is for China connectivity because it'll make life easier for the small percentage of my users who'll come from there, and also to make my own life easier doing admin work when I'm there.

BTW does this FIO test script give any more information than was in the YABS I provided originally? There's another YABS from someone else for the $7/y one if the YABS tells you what you need.

Once your traffic is exhausted, we will limit your maximum bandwidth to 1Mbps. You can choose to reset your used transfer through the transfer reset feature. :)
