Since people recommended chargeback I'll post the relevant screenshots here...

IH and PayPal both denied my claim.

Now that the OP is clearly identified - it’s worth noting that the staff was following the Terms in their responses.
The OP has sent a grand total 1 of message.
    Staff responded explaining the policy.
OP Has NOT asked for any exception of this policy and jumped straight to a PayPal dispute.

We are still happy to work with the OP via our ticket system.

refund policy aside, how is it possible for IH to transfer credits to Clouvider since they are and were separate companies?

I do not see why I should grovel and beg for my money back when I made my case perfectly clear in the first message, providing not only timestamps and PDFs but even message IDs to identify the transaction.

I feel like this is the new involucrated meme for 2025

Companies do this all the time. I had to message Uber Eats like 20 times to get escalated to someone higher up for a refund of.. £2. Because I literally didn't receive the thing valued at £2. Petty I know. But it's life. They will try and keep your money. You just have to push if you're in the right.

Can I transfer my IH credit to RackNerd, get it doubled it and transfer it back to IH then to Clouvider?

IH and Cloudiver can have the best service in the world, but based on my own impression, I didn't read any single positive thing about them since BF2024.

So they can be the bestest provider, but they handle things in terrible way.

the persona behind IH should take over Clouvider account. then it will be golden moving forward.

I wonder how many more of these we're gonna see!

  • The OP has sent a grand total 1 of message.

@InceptionHosting Since the number of messages seems to be a relevant metric fro claim approval, how many messages should I send? Should I send them all at once or wait for replies in between?

The operator that @jinks was answered by gave such a bot-like response. Even the language, "I noticed", is irritatingly false. It wasn't "noticed", it was pointed out to them. I myself wouldn't be too keen to further engage with that either.

Lol, I can top that pettiness, although I don't know if the bank was actually the one being more petty. A little while ago I complained to my bank over a £3 fee, because their website was wrong. The first person I spoke to agreed to refund it because they were wrong, but the next day I spoke to another person and they refused to refund it. After making a complaint which they closed without responding or refunding me, I complained to the Financial Ombudsman, which instantly cost the bank a £650 fee, even if they ruled in the bank's favour. They would rather pay £650 than refund me £3

The FOS then obviously ruled in my favour because I was clearly right, the website was incorrect, so they awarded me £50 compensation.

So the bank lost £700 instead, plus the time to supply all of their responses, etc. to the FOS. THEN they corrected the mistake on their website.

The funny thing is, after that I told them to cancel my accounts and credit card, and they asked me why I was leaving and if there was anything they could do to keep me as a customer

I hope Clouvider knows how badly they're damaging their own brand. I spend 5 figures monthly with several LE* providers and was considering using them in the past. Their behavior in threads like this definitely scared me off for good.

$60. that's almost $20k. you'll never be too careful with provider like these.

best of luck for OP getting your money back, inception hosting really went downhill with those cheap ai generated response.

Inception Hosting was still managed by @Clouvider for over three years after being 'acquired' and many were sad to see their offerings disappear forever.

Recently, the IH credit fiasco has caused some damage to their brand. However, they're still one of the only brands on LET with multiple millions invested in them and significant assets. Their accounts are public.

It's strange to see the hate given when I doubt many who have 'saved' micro hosting companies here will not make it past a year of management before deadpooling their 'acquisitions'.

I have three dedicated servers with Clouvider and I've never had any issues.

Yes, but now your company is closing down and the products can’t be purchased. The deposit was made 4 hours before the announcement. Why do you fuck over your client like this? Get a grip.

This sounds like a case where a reasonable arrangement as an exception could be agreed upon. However, please note that we do not offer exceptions via PayPal disputes.

    Thanks!

you are a little shitter, i hope your company fails
    With Warmest Regards,

  • From a neutral point of view, wouldn't it be misleading to use the word 'stole', even with quotes, when in fact the money was sent to the provider from an active subscription that was willingly accepted once upon a time?
