It's just not their VPS nodes, my dedicated server from them (and the control panel), is also off.
Serving downtime in large chunks.
The end of LET sales season marks the beginning of Deadpool/Involucration season.
From our main thread:
UPDATE:
Everything should work now, our transit provider professionaly took care of that urgent matter. Again - I need to address many thanks to the amazing people that we're cooperating with. I received information that it was filtered by core router regarding loop in the route. We see another announcement attempt from our network vlan - should be filtered, but we'll investigate it. Again, we can likely compensate everything as standed earlier, so just open a ticket!
Hi!
Sorry for claryfying this on forum after that time. We're aware of that and our transit provider is ticketed, so we can further investigate it. I see that some of our BGP sessions flapped - and are filtered by T1's. In the meantime, we were investigating it for past hours + working on workaround solution. Everyone that issue a ticket will receive free 2 weeks to the server.
This month, we're ordering new core routing stack to be fully independent (we needed to move to our transit provider router to mitigate the impact of 1 issue on December) and we will have redundant BGP.
We implemented couple of changes in the network to prevent such situations. We have long-term plans for developing our infrastructure and deadpooling/closing anything is not on the list.
We suggested compensation idea for our customers, everyone can get it - just write us a ticket.
No, it was related to BGP. Nodes are up.
As we informed earlier, issues with support response times + issue clarified in the thread topic is already fixed since days, we scaled. Of course, it's our responsibility, but we're learning from the mistakes to not repeat it ever again.
As mentioned earlier, we're not deadpooling. LET is not our main source of income. We're financialy stable and have plans to expand. For example, we're now negotiating rack offer in Poland (have 3 more serious options on the table). Probably in Q2, we can start offering both dedis and VPS servers there. Current issue happened regarding to BGP. Core router of our provider dropped the session, but it seems like a bug on Arista we're announcing 191.96.11.0/24 and 31.59.129.0/24 from. As standed in the previous comment, we're investigating. Temporary fixes are implemented to prevent any of such situation in the future.
