Ah ok. I am planning to Tailscale my home connection. Still trying to figure out the specifics of DNS as I have a dynamic IP at home.

When using the Tailscale network you can use the built in DNS, and use the domains they provide. I generally just copy/paste the Tailscale IP from the app though as it's super convenient.

They're local domains only, not public internet. Kinda like going to router.home.lan (example) to access your router's config page.
