Yeah... It's impossible to disable it seems so...
I'm trying on Windows and I'm using their app
It says bit rate limit exceeded
Try another video format and see if it still transcodes.
That's unfortunate. I am thinking it's because you are using some unsupported format. Can you check the video format?
Where does it say that? On the server or the client?
Where's the RackNerd party at? Anybody up to party?
I'm using H264... It should be supported, right? .mkv video
Mkv is almost 50/50 for me. I'd recommend H264 MP4. Try a sample video and see if it transcodes as well.
Also, if you have Android, check their Android client and see if it still transcodes.
LET'S PARTY ON THE RACKNERD NEW YEAR THREAD !!
will try that, thank you!
Sad thing is that you can't find a lot of torrents (specially in private trackers) with mp4 format
ok! Yeah, i have android, will try
PARTYYYYY TIME
I was able to disable transcoding on plex. Maybe check that out instead :O
Wahts up party people!? Seems i missed some good action. No GAs or Flash sales yet though!
Try any sample MP4 video to test.
your adventures are making me not want to try it out
Plex has gone well for me thus far. I was passively watching this jellyfin saga to weigh some possible options if i didnt want to use plex anymore
Let us know.
None yet. But guess something good is brewing behind the scenes
i'd vote for this as well. MP4 is generally more supported. MKV if your going pro or somethiing with beefy setups everywhere
RACK NERD PARTY 2025!
Could always run them through a converter yourself? I am asssuming you might lose some quality somewhere in that chain though.. but maybe not noticable on your final destination?
Theres some youtube to mp4 converters too out there that are easy to use. Might want to try that as a quick n dirty test
I think so! I wonder what @BlazinDimes would think!?
Is trading them in for racknerd credits an option? If so, do that!
Yah. With Jellyfin, MKV is a hit and miss. On some clients I saw that it played well, but not universally.
RACKNERD PARTY TO START OFF 2025
He could also just use yt-dl to get them
Is he around? Haven't been tagging him cause I think he's busy.
