Try out Alpine on your next VPS as it doesn't take much space so it would be great for the VPS with smaller drives

Will have to check it out. I've been using almalinux after i lost centos. Racknerd have Alpine setup as an option or do you need to setup a custom iso for that?

Almalinux is a good distro. I'm not sure if Racknerd has an Alpine ISO or if you need to use your own - I'd recommend updating it to 3.20 or 3.21 anyhow.

Currently trying it out on a Docker containers. Though lightweight, it does miss some basic packages that need to be installed and setup separately

Pretty functional system with a small footprint

Filesystem Size Used Avail Use% Mounted on
    /dev/sda2 117G 203M 112G 1% /
    /dev/sda1 272M 26M 227M 11% /boot

Yah, but, on Docker Ig, I have to learn how to setup openrc and such packages to start or control services.

nothing like that there are limits on posing more than 5 posts per minute and I did cross that so thats fair since its sort of bot protection so can't say anything

Darn. I'm not sure how to setup the isos for racknerd. I like the simple selecting from the drop down and click to setup so I'll probably stick with alma Linux in that case
