@ralf What would you like to win, if you don't mind sharing?

    The sweater

    Are you in the US?

No, that's why I'm so cold here. Brrrr.

Oh I see. The sweater is US-only. International customers can take credits instead. As for the cold, cat fur doing nothing?

Don't you have fedex in the US? Can I pay for the shipping with my credits? Only a sweater or the warmth from snuggling up close to Dustin (and he's probably not down for that) is going to make me happy,

Maybe stay active on the thread. Sweaters are part of the random giveaways on the thread.

that was a long wait bro. Wow.

5 days. They coulda easily done it on day one itself. But, no!

    why they do that?

No idea at all. I guess they just think a small proportion of their customers would change their minds in those 5 days and cancel the transfer.

Yeah, I think that's the case too

    Makes no sense whatsoever.

It makes sense since the customer who changes their mood will remain as their customer and they will still have profit

Yah, but, instead of forcibly having the customer who has decided once and for all to transfer, wait, for 5 days, without giving them to approve the transfer on the spot is just a bad move.,

Oh yes, the man loves a challenge.

I guess, you are a challenge to him also. You might easily take over the 1st place (again :D )

Frankly, if not for the promise in my signature, and the fact that I lack the time this time around, I would have definitely gone for the 1st spot. I just hope and pray that nobody challenges me to go the first stop. That just awakens the competitive spirit in me.

I'll challenge you to the top spot.
    Never give in, never surrender!

in the RAT race of life, you're still a RAT

Appreciate the challenge, but, I am gonna respectfully rat myself out of it, FOR NOW. I hope the rat gods will forgive me for this huge disprespect.

Why do you not want a laptop?

Promised DaDev at the beginning of the thread that I won't aim for it.

Have you ever heard of honour among rats? No? EXACTLY!

But, I am still a mouse right now. Haven't had the pleasure of joining the Rat gang.

    You can still RATPRESENT

Can you vouch for me?

Just embrace your inner rat and if it's meant to be, it'll be.

Thanks for the tip. Will try my best.

Ya I get that, that's how these companies do things when they become big since they have a sort of monopoly on the market and customers and any bad review can be suppressed by then like any person on utube mentions atleast one time hostinger as their recommended hosting or domain provider

Yah, I hate it. But, the fact that I hate the most about all of this was that, they didn't even take a minute to understand why the customer was trying to transfer. They just found them transferring to another registrar which had better prices. The 5 days unnecessary waiting time instead of a good offer to make the customer stay is like an unwanted penalty.

Yeah tbh let is itself a goldmine, I was planning to buy their 2 dollar per month plan and would have had to pay for 4 years for that price lock alone and here on let even premium providers provide nvme SSD with ddr5 ram for like under 10 dollars per year that is much better than them

Oh yes, their lock-in periods are crazy as well. I agree with your take on LET as well. It's still a hidden treasure. I found it almost an year ago and was fortunate enough to land on the RackNerd thread. Prior to that, every time I needed hosting, it was a pain hunting deals down. Funny thing is, when I settled on some of the so-called "major host's" deals, I would think I had gotten the best deal possible

Yah, but, instead of forcibly having the customer who has decided once and for all to transfer, wait, for 5 days, without giving them to approve the transfer on the spot is just a bad move.,

Hnmm thats true they could have in fact maybe tried by reducing their prices a bit

Yah, they could do it. Just compare RackNerd and Hostinger's prices. You will see the heavy premium these mainstream hosts apply on their plans without providing anything to add value.

I don't know how but I landed on let due to racknerd

that was a long wait bro. Wow.

It's not fair to promote other providers by name in a provider's thread, but there have been some much cheaper options available if you know where to look. Obviously the $3/y and $7/y deals are crazy and limited to only a handful of people who are quick, but e.g. I picked up a very rare location for $16/y about 12 hours after the offer was posted. Keep looking around the forum, don't just stay in one place all the time and you'll find some amazing deals. Not trying to bash RN - I've had several over the years and the one I kept onto is into it's 4th year now. But it's far from being my best deal - just one that was convenient because the deals stay open a reasonable length of time.

On it! Hope you're paying attention @dustinc ... Imma freeze without a sweater!

UK. It was colder yesterday, but today's it's still "2 degrees feels like -2" (the first is ambient temperature measured with wind blocked, second is ambient temperature in sensor with open sides that measures the air temperature). That's 35 feels like 28 in American units.

Oh OK. TrK had like 8 degrees a few days ago in Delhi NCR.
