Refurbished are simply fixed and sold back to market, recertified are tested by manufacturer for various reasons before entering in market, recertified are better choices for me as I don't want to see my drives dead randomly.
I dont really trust refurbished or recertified drives but i guess it depends what you are doing with them. I have enogh fear of losing data as it is

Do they come with renewed warranties typically as well? Maybe that would put me at ease a bit.. a warranty with data recovery services.
