    Previous to this, I was using a 2.5" 1TB western digital hard drive (mechanical) that died just before it's warranty expired. I got it replaced, and the replacement died after a few months.

    1TB SATA SSDs are $50 now and USB to SATA cases are $5.

    Not really Ryzen 7 is better based on GB6 score.
