Everyone can post in Providers, duh.

  • What utilization could be for 100g servers?!

The closest one to 100G that I can offer

    1x Intel E5-2680 v4
    128GB RAM
    1x 240GB SSD,
    1x 3,2TB NVMe
    1x 40Gbps Port
10G unmetered bandwidth, burst up to 40G.

    350 EUR monthly,
    +
    1x /29 IPv4, 1x /64 IPv6

(40G unmetered for 2800 EUR monthly)

They had a Ryzen 5950x 100GE promo going last year as well, and anything over 10GE felt like a miracle. It's one thing offering a server with a 100GE NIC and another to actually provide usable, good quality 100GE bandwidth. FDC had one of the most ass networks I had ever tried. Discussing it with some other providers I was told they mainly rely on Cogent for the peering.

Good luck filling that "100 Gb/s" pipe with 16 E5v2 cores and dual SSDs.
(Hint: E5v2 is PCIe 3 so one would need a 16x lanes based card to get 100+ Gb/s which that CPU is unlikely to deliver anyway)

IMO an unattractive config but hey, at least it might actually fill that (much thinner) pipe.

"Oh no! Yes! Oh no, if only I had known!" - someone having and actually using their brain? Shocking! *g

they mainly rely on Cogent for the peering.

With Cogent taking a 100 Gb/s pipe actually might be a smart move ... to halfway reliably push 10 Gb/s, hehehe

Considering the offers OP got from FDCservers with CPU: 2x Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU E5-2650 v2, the v4 Xeon is a big upgrade.

It's not worth it selling 100G without commitment.

  • 15x2TB SSDs, each capable of 5Gbps, result in a combined theoretical throughput of 75Gbps. While this may sound surprising to some, especially those from USD-based countries, it is a reality for us here in an INR-based economy. In our region, the daily labor cost for 12 hours of work is a minimum of just $3.

  • When we work with asian traffic fdc is our B)
