    I have a couple of ancient websites running codeigniter and I am afraid to touch them when they are for clients.

    Thats a php MVC framework right? Do you recommend using it? Would you use it again?

    Reassembling it would be a challenge in itself. BTW, so kind of you to even consider it. At times, with Indian customs, it doesn't even matter, if it's used, broken or brand new.

    Interesting. That would mean, the configs have to be lowered a bit. But, it'd guarantee more laptop winners.

    maybe you can get different tiers of CPU, or perhaps ram. RAM would be more ideal as you can always put it back unless its soldered

    Yah, maybe 3X Framework laptops. This way each winner can modify it according to their needs.

    It's actually fairly easy to reassemble in most cases, unless you don't desolder anything.

    As long as there is no soldering, that would make it way easier

    Yah, soldering on laptop motherboards is not for the faint-hearted or inexperienced.

    Our customs still charge on it may be. They do unexpected things. :D

    Nope. Thats why I prefer a PC. Most developers I've seen like the MacBook pro though. I do like the looks of it. But non upgradability is meh for me.

    It's upgradable if you get the right tools, right replacement chips and a sure fire way to temper with OS core....

    I think someone who has to work to earn, and spending on MacBook to work, will not have that much time to put that effort. :p

    That's why we see more macs in garbage dump.....

    Thats how Apple earns money.. selling new, dumping old.
