    Found it, and it does function! I forgot I went back and switched from a complex solid state circuit to what is basically the Minecraft equivalent of, hm how do I explain, like a cylinder that is like an HDD but also like a punch card? You'll see in the video.

    It was fun, but I haven't tackled anything like that in many years, so it would probably take a little while to re-learn how to build one again!

    It was around 2017, so I don't remember exactly, but it definitely took a considerable amount of time. Probably quite a few hours, spread over a couple days.

    Thats great. I liked the space theme (or whatever it called in miecraft). Starry background and land looks like some buildings on moon.

    Yeah I use a flat world with no terrain or biomes for redstone testing and creation as it is much easier than trying to build on all the hills, or clear them.

    at that explains it. Usually the mountains are in the way blocking the view

    Sorry xpress, im not trying to dethorne you for the laptop! Just need a new telly. Mine is so old and barely functions. I am way over due for a TV. My computer is ok, i got a new gpu and the cpu is old but i can live with it. I just need the GPU for gaming cpu isnt really a bottleneck

    Thats a decent amount. I think 8 is the recommendation though. I typically only hit 6 on average though, just way to much always going on to get the recommeneded hours. Feels like wasted time too

    Me too.. I can waste as much time as I want when I am active. But whenever I hit bed, I feel like I am wasting my time, hence sleepless nights. :(

    ML is quite a beast. What part of it are you specifically trying to get into to? What tech have you been using?

    I am trying to get into the training and research part. Started relearning the Math and all.
    Currently don't have the hardware capable of all that. Have to figure out something in 2025

    One thing i have found is that it is a lot harder to relearn math as you age. I hope you have good successes in it!

    oh wow, yeah not bad at all. 1050ti still holds its own after all thsi time too

    It does still run well, but this ROG Strix kinda puts it to shame.
    Not to worry though, it still serves a purpose. lol

    "Not a bad" is an understatement. That laptop had great thermal management (both hardware and software) for the price it retailed for.

    Oddly enough the reviews from Best Buy said the exact opposite, but I snagged it anyway and mine is excellent still to this day. Probably fixed the cooling issue with a BIOS update by the time I purchased it, I guess the fans weren't kicking in when they should have been?

    I was able to play Cyberpunk 2077 on it with no problems when it released, when people with much higher end hardware were complaining of constant problems, so I was happy with my choice.

    I have trouble reading reviews because it seems most often people leave reviews to complain. I do my best to try to leave good reviews too because they seem to be skewed so often.

    Yep, more often than not people only leave a review when something is wrong unfortunately.

    we as a society need to find a way to change that. Both the good and the bad should be shared
