Pending VMs are created in queue, as to (attempt) to not slow down the other VMs. Currently Debian and Ubuntu both put a lot of strain on the system while deploying. We are working on this at the moment.

That's because we're technically 300% over'sold' the CPU on the test machine. I've resized it for you. That and your limit is 1 CPU!

That's about what I would expect out of a 100mbps VPS.

  • @HardCloud are you able to provide bigger instances? I would be interested in testing a 4vCPU, 4Gb, 40Gb disk for a jenkins master running debian 7 if possible

Of course I can provide a bigger instance, you will have to expand the instance yourself though (Undeploy, then wait for it to finish, Capacity -> Resize Capacity, Start)

    Sending you your details now...

  • Couple of issues, i've noticed

    • can't rename deployed instance
    • can't reboot / stop deployed instance

I can provide screenshots with errors if you need them?

From what I've gathered, the "Stop" is "Undeploy". The "Start" is just the play arrow.

As per renaming, you can. Click on the instance, then click the little pencil arrow by the name (in the details pane.) https://db.tt/rPXGeV5X

  • @hardcloud i worked most of that out - but it doesn't allow me to change name for instance. I change the name and then i get an error saying i don't have permission.

I've discovered a bigger issue too. Either when you deployed my account it has be assigned someone else's resources at the same time, or someone else has found an exploit on the system.

I've opened the vnc session assigned to my vps and I'm watching someone else type on the console. They've added accounts, changed passwords, rebooted and done a few other bits too.

Again, i can provide screenshots if needed.

I'm looking at your account, and it doesn't appear you have any VPS yet.

I think someone else has mistakenly made their VPS public access, I'll investigate now.

Fixed, the owner of 211 had chmod'd their VPS +r -_-.

  • heh
