Hopefully everything will be back soon.
it's still failing, the database server is still in error. it's been more than 16 hours. i'm utterly disappointed.
No chance...Again Database error.
Anyhow merry Xmas guys
The issue was resolved yesterday so it has not been 16 hours. It is happening again that is correct.
We will need to reinstall MYSQL it seems.
when will it be resolved? actually it's been 2 days of up and down like this, honestly this also makes me lose financially because all my websites cannot be accessed at all.
I cannot give any ETA yet. I'm getting assistance from Bobcares on the issue at the moment.
Does DA SG not support remote database?
If it involves your business, maybe you should migrate your business the next time it's normal.
At least that's what I did not too long ago.
yes fortunately i have relocated my websites, i was expecting a compensation.
if i’m upset, here’s how i’d explain it, and i’m demanding proper compensation for this issue: the problem is that database server outages like this don’t even show up on your status page. according to your system, everything looks fine, but in reality, my websites are completely unusable because the database is down. what’s worse, this has been going on for over 5 hours now with no clear resolution or communication. you claim to have hired bobcares to manage and fix your server, but it doesn’t seem to be making any difference. this prolonged outage is highly unprofessional and unacceptable. my business is suffering due to their lack of transparency and inefficient troubleshooting. to make matters worse, i’ve had to spend extra money setting up a backup server just to compensate for your incompetence. and what makes it even more disappointing is that your support team on the client system takes longer to respond than on lowendtalk, which is absurd for a professional service. i expect a detailed explanation of what went wrong, assurance that this won’t happen again, and fair compensation for the disruption and additional expenses caused.
Guys do you provide rootacess to your storage box?
Agree that's it's reasonable to ask for compensation for the downtime. But additional expenses to back up your stuff is your responsibility though
There will be compensation and a update once it has all been resolved but it's a bit premature to talk about that when the issue is ongoing.
Latest status is that even multiple personel at Bobcares could not recover the current mariadb installation. They are now doing a databse dump in an attempt the fully reinstall it.
Why do you even consider hosting anything business related on one of the cheapest hosts you can find out there? Not saying hostbrr is bad as I got multiple services with them, but honestly I would never consider hosting anything related to my business there. As said: You cannot expect top notch customer support on such a low price. Why do you think other companies are soo much more expensive? You should really start adjusting your expectations to the amount of money you're spending.
If I were hostbrr I would never accept customers like you..
Your business is so cheap then,
Hosted on very cheap shared web hosting and didn't have any backup server ready.
Its up after 12 hours.
3rd consecutive day major outage.
thanks for the insult, but i have my own calculations. i paid with my own money, not yours. like i said, i need some clarity. and business is still business dude, i'm looking for profit, why are you trying to control me? do i look like a charity?
i have backups and have backed up but my backup server is only capable of a certain capacity, but my business position is busy when the server is down, so i need to scale up suddenly. i paid for server specifications that i should have taken into account.
yes, my business is cheap but i can support my family, not like you who still depends on your parent.
Guys, it's christmas. Be nice
Good luck to Brr, hopefully MySQL goes brrrr for the rest of the holidays without fault.

Your frustrations are warranted but your expectations need to be aligned with what is being offered. With that said, I never want the pricing to be an excuse to deliver a bad service, I fully intend to compete with the best - and I believe that succeeds in many areas.
However, this situation is quite unique. First and foremost, what a truly terrible timing for this to happen. The Christmas holidays are some of the most celebrated here and have been planned for most of the year. I had to host Christmas Eve for 15 people and I couldn't easily fix this myself and this is probably the only time on the year I truly cannot drop my plans to fix the issue.
In any case, I hired expertise from Bobcares which should be very competent with MySQL / MariaDB. They initially used 4 hours to troubleshoot and recover the database yesterday and were successful. As you now know, this solution wasn't that permanent and today the database just shat itself and refused to recover. Bobcares attempted different solution for hours but nothing could bring up MySQL. So they had to backup the entire database, which isn't quite easy when MySQL refuses to cooperate and is partly corrupted. However, it seems like they managed to do so and do a clean install of MySQL and recovered the backup.
Things seems to be working now. However, I have asked for an assessment on the situation and will monitor the situation closely as it seems like the two crashes happened at similar times on the day.
A e-mail will be sent out in regards to this when I am confident that everything will run smoothly, and of course, compensation will be given. Further details will be in the e-mail.
A few months ago I changed some VPS servers to shared hosting plans (HostBrr has the most powerful and fastest plans for WordPress websites/shops) ✅
I have 7 services. Yesterday only DA Germany with MySQL problem:

It helps that DA has SSH (Terminal) and Rsync installed by default. ✅
Also I have my own script for the databases of each website.
On DA Germany, I have 3 WordPress websites, but I migrated only 2 WordPress sites, up and running in 20 min and 70 min respectively, to another production VPS server, thanks to own backups (VPS for backups on another provider for files and databases).
During MySQL down, current files could still be accessed and copied to another destination with Rsync or zip and wget (whatever is easier).
Do I need any compensation? No
Will I continue with HostBrr? Yes 🤝
Hey @labze thanks for great offers and services!!
happy holidays!!
Singapore cPanel is down about 5hours until now
move, it won't be resolved anytime soon, hardware failure
Yes, still down. Hope it resolves soon.
The issue is reported on our status page. I unfortunately cannot give any ETA.
I must say I am so done with ASRock. I've had over 20 motherboards die from them last year and now the new years starts off with another failure. I am awaiting technicians in the datacenter to replace it, but unfortunately as can be witnessed they are slow as fuck.
I have already ordered a new server with OVH and awaiting setup. All clients will be migrated to there, because at least I am more confident that critical issues such as this will be handled more swiftly from them.
Thank you for your confirmation
holly fuck, still down, any update?
Yes, and I am so pissed off. I received a response 6 hours ago saying that a technician is actively investigating the issue, to which I replied that what is there to investigate, we just need a hardware replacement. They then follow up with, oh but no one is actually looking into it but we have forwarded the information and it is being handled with the highest priority.
This is incompetence at the highest level. The whole ticket history is a joke with them.
@labze I am currently receiving excellent service from Hostbrr, but I have some concerns. I've noticed that some providers initially offer great service but eventually shut down. This often seems to happen because they sell lifetime deals or offer services at extremely low prices, making their business unsustainable. Do you think Hostbrr's hosting service business is sustainable in the long run, or is it at risk of meeting the same fate as others, like HostMantis or MyW.pt?
