Has the Hong Kong VPS purchased on Black Friday been delivered?
Another day waiting for provision, likely have to wait after the holiday...
The fact @hosthatch doesn't even have the decency or respect for his customers to post an update in this thread says a lot. It takes 2 minutes to communicate delays. There's no excuse.
Tick tock... From BF to X-Mas... Maybe new year?
Waiting is quite hard.
It's already written in the thread and mentioned by any other proud owners of hosthatch.
When you are in promotional plan, basically you'll be treated like a second class citizen. You'll be lowest in priority and if you raise a ticket, your wait time will get reset. You do not have any right to voice your opinion regarding this matter because hosthatch provides quality service and what you paid is nothing compared to what you'll get.
Customer service is a very expensive sector and you people, who paid peanuts in comparison to the awesome server that'll get, are ungrateful for complaining so much.
If you don't have the patience, then don't even think of buying a server from hosthatch, because the fault lies in you for not reading the terms and conditions before buying.
Sarcasm aside, there are HH cheerleaders here who will defend them for any issues and you'll be blamed for all the mishaps that's happening. Anyone can guess why but let's leave that part.
Hosthatch is very good. But this is a bit ridiculous. The only thing stopping me from creating a ticket is that I don't really need the server for anything in particular.
Just wish they would at least communicate here on the thread with what the ETA is and maybe give a half decent reason why they are so delayed.
First of all, we have to admit that Hosthatch definitely provides unparalleled services, better than any others on the market. If you want to use it at a preferential price, the price is that you either become a mute or an obedient and sensible person. If you care about your dignity, please buy it at the original price.
Just simply noting in the update that more time is needed to stock up would only take a few seconds. They seem unwilling to do even that. As for premium service, haven't you used Azure, Amazon, or DigitalOcean? If you purchase the same configuration at the original price, the prices are quite similar, aren't they? I see some people are fervently supporting HH, which is hard to imagine.
It takes 1 minute to give all of us a very short notification. ALL of us.
This part is very true.
Although it's the holiday season, I really can't help but want to say to sb. - Please don't act like a clown because no one is asking for your opinion.
It's a forum. Everyone has equal right to voice their opinion as long as it is on topic.
It isn't required to be asked by someone to write it. If you don't like it, simply ignore it.
Do not quote my words, it is not directed at anyone. Instead, I must politely state that this quote is not directed at you.
Stop complaying. HostHatch is a prem provider, personally I would even wait 1 month to have a VSP from them. It's worth to wait, you'll understand it when you have your HH VM.
Very well said.

six months later. we are not refund. only to you credit.
Exactly the type of cheerleading I mentioned.
It's not about whether or not the VPS is worth the wait. It's about whether paying customers deserve to be left in the dark. Just because we purchased at a discounted rate means we are not worthy of an update?
It's basic business practice. Typically customers understand when there are delays, or when things don't go as planned. But what frustrates customers is lack of communication.
For the record, I have several VPS with HostHatch and have spent several thousand USD over the past few years with them. I can vouch for the performance and reliability of them. But that doesn't mean I can't make a statement about their total disregard for communicating with customers.
Regarding the discussion on this matter, one size does not fit all.
The server offered by HH is excellent and proven and supported by all those who use it, and of course that's why we are willing to buy it, because HH does offer quality goods at a good price.
However, HH really doesn't do a good enough job of communicating with its users. For pre-sale items, HH gives a delivery time, 2 weeks (10 working days), which may be slightly overdue. However, it has been 3 weeks since Dec 2, and for the original time given, it has exceeded 50%, which is already an abnormal state.HH has not made any public explanation so far. This will leave those who have already paid for it in an unknown wait, and this state of uncertainty is something that no one likes.
It's really an easy thing to do to assuage most people's concerns just by making an announcement.
Hopefully HH will give a clarification soon.
The problem is that there isn't just one ETA. There will be different ETAs for different regions, and different configs, because the machines for compute and storage will be very different. They may be different for different sizes if they're clustering people together that way.
And maybe most importantly, there will be some list they're working down, so it wouldn't even be possible necessarily to give an ETA as it'd depend how far down each list you are. Actually calculating an ETA for every person would probably delay everybody's ETA by another day, and probably still wouldn't be accurate because it'd depend on whether all their builds go smoothly or not. I'm sure they're all working as hard as they can, just be patient.
Seems like they are deploying location by location. I got 5 of 8. Only chicago remains.
london , stockholm still pending for me
They should lengthen the time by a month or two instead of two weeks.
People would be lot more understandable then.
If you enforce your terms for your benefit, then it can be used against you too for what you have written.
Stockholm compute here.
I ordered two minutes after the sale started, so I wonder how the list is. But in any case, would be nice with at least an explanation if not an estimate. If they just came on and said our 10 business days will be 90 and they apologise, that would be enough for me.
I understand others may have a different point of view, but here are my two cents. I can wait for an indefinite time while they set up my vps, because luckily I have other things to do in the meantime, it's not like my whole life has to stop until the VM is delivered. If for whatever reason I need a vps now, I can buy one of their regular plans, and I have more than once done so. Black Friday /Cyber Monday offers are for non-critical workloads (idling), that can wait without a hard deadline. We know from previous threads that Black Friday offers are sometimes provisioned in January...it's already happened so you know what you bargain for.
If you want to be treated as a precious customer, what are you even doing on LowendTalk? This is a community, and while we certainly shell out hard $$$ for some services offered here, the spirit should be of tolerance and camaraderie. Most of us here have a serious job elsewhere, and we use the forum for our hobby projects. Same goes with providers: this is usually not where they make their living from. It's not hard to realize that even posting a short update is a disruption of whatever work they are doing; dedicating time to creating your BF VMs clearly happens on a best effort basis, and still has a higher priority than posting updates. If you feel insulted by this treatment, there has been a misunderstanding.
But they didn't even do that (extend for another 2 weeks). The last comment they made was addressing a very particular problem with a single user and it's been radio silence since:

It's low endtalk so people shouldn't have any complaints?
This entitled attitude, just because these are low priced vps needs to be discouraged.
If you talk about two weeks time, and you still can't provide after almost a month, then it doesn't take a minute to write that it will be delay by x amount of time.
Just because these people spent less, it doesn't mean they don't deserve even a reply in a forum addressed as a group?
This blind cheerleading should be discouraged.
You're not even a customer, you're just in here stirring up the pot for whatever reason.
It's quite telling that:
I don't know why you like going into threads and stirring up shit when you're not even a customer. This isn't the only thread I've seen you in, but for someone with such a new account, it's kind of weird that you only seem to hang out relentlessly giving providers trouble about services you've never used.
I don't think it is so hard for HH to post a notification about the delayed delivery. As I said, we just don't like the uncertained waiting. If HH says it would take one month to fulfill all the delivery, I would take it, because it means certainty.
If HH has encountered some issues, they can say it. It only takes a few minutes to type hundreds of words to clarify what they are dealing with and we all gonna understand. You don't have to type the words even, just spell it and the computer can transfer the voice to the sentences.
Again, HH's servers are good, and worth to wait for, but is it better to keep in touch with its customers about what happens?
