@ShockHosting has graciously agreed to match my giveaway with TWO extra VPS. So I'll start it off by giving away one of them now, I'll drop some extra giveaways over the next 24 hours so that no timezones are missing out.

To start it off the first giveaway is a FREE SSD-KVM-4GB VPS FOR ONE YEAR (https://shockhosting.com/vps) at ANY location of your choosing that ShockHost covers (Singapore, Australia, Germany, Netherlands, UK, USA - renews at $75 per/yr)

Well virtualization might not actually be disabled on this host. VM-x is for Intel processors, and AMD-V is for AMD processors, but this node has a Neoverse N1 architecture which is ARM based.

Yabs checks for CPU flags in /proc/cpuinfo. Specifically it looks for the flags vmx (Intel VT-x), or svm (AMD AMD-V) so it doesn't look for ARM stuff.

I believe the virtualization extensions for ARM Neoverse N1 is the vhe CPU flag so try running the below command to see if that host has it:

    grep 'vhe' /proc/cpuinfo

Hmm yeah I don't see anything related to virtualization there but it is possible the Linux kernel is just not listing it. I think the only way to know is to try some software that uses virtualization, or ask Netcup if their ARM nodes support Virtual Host Extensions (VHE). I'd be really surprised if Neoverse N1 didn't have VHE.

  • Help find Astro a domain day.

I've been looking for a .com for a while now. Ideally for personal domains I like to atleast own the .com and .net.

Any recommendations for short .com that are available? Just tryin my luck with my fellow BF crusaders.
