Their T.O.S mentions "Kuroit Limited" only and no company number or any data on the footer like the other providers usually have.
They’re registered in India & the US as well
According to them, can’t verify it ATM, on my phone, but I’d be suprised if it wasn’t the case
Members individually asking them to prove they are a real company paying taxes is not solution, whatever the case is they need to update their website accordingly
Sorry for forgetting to greet.
Reguards!
I mean, if you did pay them I’d assume invoice states what legal entity sold you the thing at least. It doesn’t help in this case but it makes not paying taxes quite hard*
*without leaving a permanent trace
This place used to have detectives during the great Nekki / Deank era where are they now
@Savvy look, in general I fully agree with you, it’s just that the lowend-market is a chaotic place.
You probably wouldn’t see stuff like this with Hetzner or OVH, but they’re also never apart of these threads and they never offer $7/yr deals.
I buy services from here, but, for important business stuff, I stick with the big boys, generally. Even though not everyone may agree with that, it’s for reasons such as this.
Joined in october and talking about nekki and deank

I don't know when you logged out for the last time but this forum is public.

what do i do with all these dinky toddler VPS that I picked up? Reality setting in
I also saw that, but decided not to post it, because I don't want to always be the guy that calls out hosters on having fake UK companies...
But honestly, they've been registered as a UK company for 5 years, the first two they operated as a dormant company - i.e. one that conducted NO TRADE AT ALL, and have since failed to file their confirmation statement (it's trivial, takes less than 5 minutes) for 2 years running and failed to file their accounts for multiple years. They cannot legally conduct ANY business in the UK.
And yet, their company sells in GBP rather than their own currency, the website has terms of service that state that any disputes much operate under the jurisdiction of the English courts and that the company name is "Kuroit Limited", which is clearly false if the company isn't trading. As Savvy points out, they don't list their company number or address on their website, which is a legal requirement for UK companies. Oh, and in the terms section, there's still a UK phone number for "complaints" that's registered to a photo company at the same address as their accountants. It all looks beyond sketchy on the UK side.
It looks like they're actually based in India, going from the +91 phone number, but if so that means they are subject to all the KYC and government monitoring rules that were put in place last year. That's a potential dealbreaker for many people, so if it is an Indian company that should be prominently disclosed. Perhaps this is why they also have a US company as well, which kind of begs the question of why they price in GBP not USD if it's going through a US company.
All of this is actually the real reason I saw the deal and passed on it. I'm sure that they're not going to just disappear overnight as they've been running for 5 years already, but it has enough red flags to make me personally not interested.
Personally, I don't think there should ever be a situation where a company would want to legitimately conceal what country they're in, their company number or mailing address.
letting reality settle in is such a noob mistake
keep buying

Despite your expectations this is not logout link! ;')
you read my mind lmao. Just dreading having to put everything together neatly in a post along with figuring who even allows transfers. Will definitely be having my own mini sale soon
still here aren't I
I agree with the other stuff but I think conceal is a strong word for what could just be chaotic management etc
Actually, interestingly you can actually find their Indian business address, but in the privacy policy page.
No i would never use a LET provider for important stuff unless its shared hosting as for example namecrane is way better than any other popular provider in that regard (thats right regard as in reguard) and for vps it would be OVH, and would still buy from kuroit if they offered a real deal with 4g for 7-11 GBP because i use these for hobby projects only
Here as well: https://bgpview.io/asn/152586
So it's not really concealing, it's just not properly providing
5 years should be ample time to put your company name and address on your website, especially as it's required by law for UK companies if they have a website.

Counter reguards!
Sure, I didn't argue that. I said they're not really concealing it.
Anyway, my point was that I don't have any reasons to think they're going to deadpool, but I don't see any reasons why I would ignore the red flags and so I personally wouldn't use them.
