    Generally, resource upgrades aren't available on many VPSes, esp. if these were part of a promo or flash sale. But, there have been free lifetime resource upgrade giveaways on the thread.

    I'll let @dustinc answer the rest of the questions.

    deals now are cheaper than they were 19 months ago by few dollars.

    All i care about is that this vps does what it should be doing or just ABANDON IT as of now it is not serving the purpose at all.

    I am curious about your current setup, if it's comforting with you, can you share your current server specs and how you setup the WordPress on it, share some details on traffic as well including concurrent users and other details.

    HARDLY ANY TRAFFIC, still setting up wordpress based website, it was online but neglected on a different vps. No virus or anything. This vps was idle for 3 months so i moved this new website to this vps.

    Linux, LAMP

    1gb ram
    1 core cpu

    should be enough for 1 website, but it is not.

    Certainly strange, i am running a Wordpress website + clientexec on a 4GB ram server and it hardly reached 1.5GB RAM usage with redis on, i also have a server running multiple codeigniter websites(more than 6) with decent daily traffic and they are hardly consuming 950MB RAM with DB + redis on the same server. It might be a configuration issue or something. I mostly rely on nginx + php-fpm and no DB on the same server, i would rather host a big beefy server for all the DB needs or use any hosted DB service. You can try aiven they have a free tier for MySQL and see if it helps. I can't provide exact solution until i am sure what's causing the high RAM usage it can be either MySQL or apache or maybe entirely different application.

    with ram 3gb or more , it is easy to host multiple sites. I have several servers hosting over 60 sites. 1gb ram for a single website is an issue that i am seeing since last 10 days, i installed a fresh wordpress install on another idle vps and same issue. Fresh linux, wordpress on 1gb ram, 1 core .

    I didn't know this 19 months ago. Something to learn the hard way.

    I think i cannot blame racknerd , if they allow to cancel or upgrade at low cost i will upgrade to more core, ram or buy bigger vps from @dustinc

    Yes, it will be. If you do face issues with high CPU usage, then make sure you use Jellyfin's official media players on your devices. That cuts down on the transcoding and your VPS will run cool.

    Yes our old battery lated 4 years.

    Getting a dual battery setup will do good for the entire place instead of a room, but if you're into homelabing, getting another one will be justifiable.

    Sometimes when the powercuts are very longer(like 8hours or more), the inverter is running out of juice because of extensive use in home. Can't control kids to turn off everything. Thats why I'm thinking of having one just for me, but it'll be costly though.
