If it have 4 batteries like my vertiv one, it's costly to replace batteries especially if they are deep cycle one. Deep cycle batteries go for around 2K each, while standard SLA battery can go for 1.3K each.

How much did it cost when you bough that? As per their claim those batteries last very long.

I bought it for 15K and the initial batteries lasted for around 3 years.

How much battery backup you get with that? For 15k we get a basic inverter I think.

    Found when scrolling through Shorts.

    Interesting.

Been researching good boards for the past few weeks. Nothing is beyond Father Google's vision.

Have you tried tinkering with Pi or similar devices?

Not yet. But, had some experience with ARM devices with an Android box that I had lying around. OpenWrt on it got me interested in this stuff.

Did you manage to install OpenWrt in it?

    Yah, with this - https://github.com/ophub/amlogic-s9xxx-openwrt

How is it running? What do you use it for?

Not bad. The Box has 2GB RAM. Tried running Jellyfin + Samba on it. Works good.

how is jellyfin working? want to use it in one of my vpses.

Using Docker. It works as expected. Haven't noticed any issues yet.

I will try. Any other simlar good ones you know of?

You mean alternatives for Android boxes, Docker or Jellyfin?

Jellyfin. I want to try some of those and finalize one I like better on my new storage server.

Sure. This is what I did. I setup Samba and then did Jellyfin on Docker, all on OpenWrt. Before choosing Jellyfin, I did do a quick research on the options. Plex might be slightly better if you are planning to buy their subscription. If not, Jellyfin should cover most of your needs. If you need any help during setup, just lmk.

Plex is costly. I think I paid for their Android app few years back. Never used it later.

I want no cost solutions only. Jellyfish seems good. Can we create accounts with it? like give access to family members their own account? (user accounts)

Yea Jellyfin will be your best choice then! I personally use it!

Yup, will try it. Seen some videos, so far looks good.

    You will love it.

Will try in a few days and will tell you my experience.

By my calculation, you and @Beniskickbutt won one of these:-

20x RackNerd Variety of Stickers + RackNerd Pen
20x Newest Edition RackNerd Coffee Mug

    @Beniskickbutt also won? Congrats bro.

Yup he did. RackNerd stickers and pen. Top prizes taken up by newer/non-Social Butterfly members. That's awesome, cause, these GAs give everyone a chance.

Seen the list. @tioman the lucky one. Seems he LET joined 1 month back. :)

That's precisely the definition of luck, something I have never had.

Ha ha me too. Very rarely I win something. Not even something in Housie game (jaldi five). :p

I have never won anything in a raffle. I guess I am one of those people who has to work hard for everything in their life. Not complaining.

Ha ha. Thats the way to go. I am also like you.

Oh yah pardon me. Did win a Camera last year on the top providers thread raffle. That was my first and prolly last.

Another good arm board manufacturer is hardkernel. See if they have a distributor near you (if you don't want to order/import directly from them)
    https://www.hardkernel.com/distributors/

Awesome, they got 2 distributors here and the pricing is similar to Nano Pi. Thank you.

How much does these cost? like for complete setup. (excluding disks).

Odroid N2+ with 4GB RAM costs around 12K with GST.

Isn't it a bit high for that config?

Yes, but, that's how the market is currently. The board TrK mentioned, Nano Pi R5S is available for 10-11k.

In the VPS. Thats why searching differnet options.

How are you planning to handle the storage then, assuming providers might not be keen on letting people host copyrighted media.

Generally, resource upgrades aren't available on many VPSes, esp. if these were part of a promo or flash sale. But, there have been free lifetime resource upgrade giveaways on the thread.

I'll let @dustinc answer the rest of the questions.

I am curious about your current setup, if it's comforting with you, can you share your current server specs and how you setup the WordPress on it, share some details on traffic as well including concurrent users and other details.
