  • I've a few KS-LE-1 (GRA), KS-2 (WAW) and KS-LE-C (BHS) to transfer out. But thinking whether I should just keep them.

I think they are trying to compete with Hetzner on lower level pricing and high level performance CPU with consumer grade motherboards and drives.

Anybody got a network lottery on the RISE-S or are you stuck with the plain jane 1Gbit network? Assuming they made these from scratch, they probably found no reason to add a 10Gbit link to these, like the recycled RISE offers.

They are advertised with 2x 1Gbps so I doubt anyone get 10G, when "guaranteed" I always had 10G download but not happening with Rise-S seems like

and it's probably about 34 % better? even though that's hard to quantify

    Yes

The good thing with french providers generally is that while they're often clueless, they're quite serious about the allowed bandwidth usage, so that's in OVH's favor at the same price point

Sure but if you have an actual reason to have ECC RAM, you'd in 95% of cases need an enterprise disk to go with it

    You're blindly in love sir

Obviously depends on use case but using 2x512GB enterprise drives is somewhat limiting compared to consumer drives that support ECC. Personally I think I would outgrow the 2x512GB setup fairly quickly before the time the advantages of enterprise storage become worth while I would likely have already upgraded at that point if i needed to
