Just in-case if anyone's wondering. They block mailing ports permanently.

Normally we would bypass this through our mail filtering devices, you can check with our support directly via a ticket.

Damn same issue crept up on its own. I couldn't access my VPS in the monring. VNCed in via the panel, the machine also couldnt ping anything. Opened a ticket. Got fixed. Now it has the same issue again.

    Keep sailing through these bumps.

If I were to get VPS, I will not go beyond 8 vCores.

    Can you elaborate a little?

damn your network is much better than mine. what node is that?

Mine is showing Romania too lol

The whois was updated, and is still being checked around different databases globally to adjust it correctly as several do indeed display a wrong location. The actual physical location is indeed in The Netherlands.

    They can activate AES manually?

We enabled AES today, but we wont enable AES-NI.

It's true that I installed Alma Linux image and Debian after that. But I also think it's done from HostSailor's end, as they said it was enabled by them.

Most probably they've got a long queue of tickets and issues to sort out, so... I would say: patience is the key.

In order for us to better serve you, and also to locate you kindly use the support ticket and our team are already working on ALL the issues, its just the queue. We had a very unexpected interest, and we assure you ALL issues will be resolved.

I have raised this to a senior tech to look into it first thing morning, as I do not want to share another incorrect answer but we indeed do have a mail filtering device perhaps what our support meant is that on the nodes we do block the mailing ports but did not make it clear that we can reroute the mailing through the device. If you have an open ticket, would be great to share the ticket ID with me in private as well over here.

For all the people with network problems and packet loss and stuff. Just be patient, the deal is good, a lot of people bought it, people are setting up and moving data for the first time and YABSing out of their mind so everything is congested.

Just be patient for a bit until it settles down and we will all enjoy idling again.

Thank you for sharing this, this is exactly what we have been trying to balance all day and are very confident as people install all their services, sort their tests out and all that it'll get a lot better.

Would you be willing to allocate two dedicated vCores for the VPS with 8 vCores?

or even with 16 vCores VPS

Can you elaborate more on this?

Did you say that I can have 4 dedicated cores on my commodore? (16vCPU). It will be wooow

Even 2 dedicated vCores >> 16 shared vCores

If our company is not listed there over the website above, then surely we have not been bought out.

you didn't choose dubai as your company headquarters by chance. you definitely have something to do with pieter.

i have only seen tngnet active as an upstream once and that was on a well known topsite, hidden behind traffic bouncers, where many well known hq grps were affil and as usual he sold leechslots or did infill trading to his paysites.

The VPS status is showing as Offline, and I am on the node 4.

This is true in general with last gen Intel crap. But this is a 64 core EPYC probably with 512GB per socket, which is exactly 8x oversold if they max out the memory capacity. Considering the idlers, 16 shared vCPUs would likely outperform 2 dedicated vCPUs for many workloads.

In any case, thanks @HostSailor for setting the new VPS perf/price baseline!
