Haven't used Terrahost/Gigahost in a bit. Their network is impressive.
Nice work. I suggest an option to specify the IP version to use (IPv4 vs IPv6), though that could be challenging since you use the speedtest-cli which doesn't have that option.
That's correct, it would be tough. One way would be to mess with the hosts network settings, but I really don't want to do that...
I'm actually thinking of adding iper3 too, been in the works for a while, but never progressed much on it. Once that's ready, it should be easily doable.
Thanks for the suggestion tho!

Our Kansas City POP goes brrrrr
Same network, different VM with some OS tweaks. Increased the DL speed and trippled the upload speed. (Different kernel, different TCP control, some sysctl.conf tweaks)
Pretty wild how much of a difference some OS level tweaks that any user can do themselves can increase network performance.

Just curious why the script calculates the average DL/UL speed, when that can be massively skewed by just one bad result from an overloaded perf server.
Maybe a more useful metric is max observed DL/UL as that reflects what the machine can actually achieve real-world.
STAP!!
because of you the world internet is slow!
