    Nope not gonna happen, even if i end up in a position to handle my own ISP network i will route it from any other location instead of India.

    Why?

    The rules about keeping the logs for 12 months just doesn't sit right with me at all, you can call me weird but it's just not right, and ISPs don't delete the logs unless it's full.

    I agree. 12 months of logs with our operators means its permanent logging. :(

    yeah and whats more weird is airtel, jio, bsnl or any other operator which doesn't allow complete access to their box is not only logging our IP interaction but our DNS logs in plain text as well, the more reason i don't want to go with them unless they are willing to set their boxes to bridge mode.

    Most wont' allow bridge mode I think. I've to check my router. I usually conect to my main Netgear router. My fiber GPON is connected to my netgear.

    If they allow bridge mode, one can easily bypass the logging i remember airtel allowing bridge modes with justification and few nokia one's even allowing end user to configure bridge mode without airtel knowing.
