Dedirock is a fraud

On December 2, I purchased a promotional vps for $8.88. After connecting to SSH, I found a problem. The server was transmitting data at a rate of 40KB-50KB per second, and the CPU was occupied by about 10%. Then I told them through Support Tickets. They replied that they could fix it, but today is 7 days and they have not solved it. Then they gave me a new answer that there is no problem with the VPS. They have no ability to manage VPS at all. It will definitely be a disaster to put the service with them.

  • Well.... That's not fraud.

Even if whatever you told is true, that's incompetency at best.

  • Move your SSH open port to other than 22 and disable other unneeded services that open to the internet. Use google or other search engine to solve your problem. Upgrade your vps management skill than waiting for support which usually done nothing for your unmanaged vps deal.

No, he didn't do what he promised and wasted other people's time for free, which is fraud.

My SSH port was changed at the beginning and I already checked my question. You should have asked me first if I modified it.

About cpu steal, ask them to move you to other node. It's your noisy vps neighbour(s) usually. About data transmit, if you have open port that would be the culprit. Else, either aacept it & move on OR use other vps provider.

  • It seems to be an overprovisioned and/or MJJs abusing resource of the host node, unlikely a fraud.

  • lol cc reseller, 8.88/yr promo, what could possibly go wrong?

    Thanked by 1yoursunny
  • it could be a designated MJJ node. which should be fine.

About a week ago, I came across a promo for Dedirock on LET and decided to order a storage VPS.
    It's been pending ever since.
I submitted a support ticket and they claimed it would be activated today, but I've seen other users on LET reporting the same issue, with the company always saying it'll be resolved 'today'.
It's incredibly frustrating. It seems like they're not taking their customers seriously.
I'm not sure what to do next.

How quickly people label a provider as "Fraud" these days. It seems we've lost sight of the true meaning of fraud.

Mine is pending since last Tuesday. I'd cancel it but it is still the best 1TB/year in the US deal I can manage to get.

"Hey, I'm sorry you're experiencing issues with your VPS. Could you provide a ticket # for me and I could look into it more thoroughly" is how a caring provider would respond.

You gave the most corporate, generic response that didn't address anything, let alone solve the issue he was complaining about.
