probably ya'll got better deals over the years, i havent been that long here...
some people got the $5/m dedi from OVH i think and some got like 8c/8gb for $10/y
if providers are watching:
looking for 1 more weird location and maybe dedicated if your finger slips and you remove the last 1-2 digits from the price lol
oh and of course if you have better deal than this, i'll happily switch to you (if you are reputable)
i guess im not that bad with idling right?
trying to deploy things once i buy a server.... or i dont buy one
or you think i should kick the idlers and when i do need something for a project use th backup server or home server with cf tunnel?
im curious of what people think

When are we all going to admit that we have an illness? The amount of servers I have "collected" over the years are way too many to be normal. It's an addiction, maybe an obsession for the ones that are still in the under 10 VPS idling category. But once you hit 20, 30, or even more, you're an addict.
My name is @Arkas and I am a Serverholic.
if you have any fancyyyy deals i'll happily take them off you so you can sleep better you know?
No no no no. No one touches my servers! But I am much better now. I idle less, and I actually use the ones I have. I meant it more as a warning for newcomers.
thats what serverholic would say
I am at 50 now, or 70, I don't know please don't ask me I dont dare to count
Oracle servers are free all long days and year? Is there anything we have to be mindful while installation software on them? If they offer generous RAM, I wish to install PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Redis along with RabbitMQ, Oracle, super useful for my teaching project.

Multiply it by 3 for the real number!
Nevah.
But it's always MOAR than what you thought it was.

Colocation at mom is pretty parasitic
I think I am at ~50, spend $100/month+ on servers
Someone please start Serverholics Anonymous
i pey her for electricity.. 3€ a month 40c per 1kwh
if you have something super special im happy to adopt
Mom colocation

Also congrats for this portofolio tbh

also for OS i use alpine...
140mb/1.8gb
I have only one server 😀
5C/10g/100g -- Germany. $100/3y -> hobby
works
i just need few for backups
the large one for well, as my daily pc?
and the others for projects, some idle... but not much
dont have raid at home for all my files
Well, for backup i had pcloud lifetime, hostbrr €7/y, email - namecrane $70 lifetime and shared hosting $5/y —is that count as servers? 🧐
i m poor, i have only one server.
ehhh could? depends... i counted all servers except clear mail ones...
@DeadlyChemist Signed up with Oracle , They have taken credit card, charged about 1 USD (converted to Indian rupees). As per internet, I can create 2 Micro instance using AMD, up to 4 core, 24 GB ARM instances for exploration, which can be split up, 200 GB Volume for all these 6 put together. Seems good option. Only yet to see those VM, how they perform.
my-idlers really helped me realizing how much i am wasting on vps's
many are about to renew next month, which i gonna cancel unless needed.
